We all watched, still trying to process this sudden change. Ymir being able to turn into a titan was something we never saw coming and we didn't even know if this was good or bad news. It seems that she is fighting for us, but she hid her ability, so is she on our side?

The whole tower wobbled and Christa went flying off the edge but Reiner luckily saved her. He has extremely fast reactions, twice now he has saved one or two of us before anyone else even realised.

"T-thanks Reiner!" She expressed, looking back at him holding her leg with his uninjured arm. Connie then grabbed onto her, ready to pull her back up, but Reiner didn't let go. "Ow! Reiner, my leg!"

"Reiner I got her! You can let her go! Hello!?" Connie tried to get his attention. I was about to step in and help them, but Reiner finally came to his senses and let go, apologising.

He was acting strange. It's no lie that we are all in shock right now considering the situation, but Reiner was more than shocked, he looked deeply disturbed or something,

"Christa. Did you know..? About Ymir being a titan?" Reiners expression was sharp and it looked like he was questioning Christa as well, but I don't think she had anything to do with this, so accusing her isn't going to help.

She looked down at Ymir fighting the other titans, conflict spread across her face. "I didn't.. We were always so close but.. For things to turn out like this.."

Ymir was doing a good job at taking the titans down, but there were still loads left and I could tell they were starting to overwhelm her, which made me begin to worry for her safety. Her titan has great agility but will she be able to defend against every single titan attacking us without any help?

"So that means... She knew one of the greatest secrets in the world. I never even suspected it." Reiner raised his eyebrows.

Bertholdt finally spoke, "She should have told us and contributed to the survey corps. Like Eren. But, maybe she didn't because she couldn't?" He was right, especially considering how Eren was first treated when he turned into a titan.

I wondered what could of been different if we knew about her power before.

"Wait! Eren didn't know that he could turn into a titan, right? But somehow.. I think Ymir knew about her powers." Connie suggested. "Which.. is she?" He was the one to say it out loud, but we were all thinking it.

This made Christas head shoot up and she frowned, "Which? Are you trying to say that Ymir might be an enemy of humanity?"

"Yeah. Thinking back on it, she always seemed unfazed, no matter what the situation. It's gotta be because she was hiding this power. We never really knew what she was thinking."

My predictions came true and one of the titans grabbed Ymir, pulling her down towards their mouth, but she managed to bite down on it and escape, climbing up the tower. She didn't make it far, they grabbed ahold of her leg and she let go of the bricks instantly.

"What!? She just let go!"

"She is worried about the tower." I pointed out the obvious. Christa turned to me with wide eyes, filled with hope and I gave her a small smile, confirming that I believed what she believed.

"She's risking her own life. To protect us." Christa announced, her voice shaky.

The titans began biting at Ymirs arms and legs and I wanted to save her, just like she tried to save us. There wasn't much any of us could do though, the titans were ruthless and were extremely quick to turn on her the second she started attacking them.

"Things don't look good for her."

Christa got sent into full panic and she climbed up on the wall recklessly. I didn't bother to stop her, instead I grabbed onto her legs to make sure she wouldn't fall as I watched her, proud and admiring.
