My Summer holidays had been going great so far. Mum, Dad, Cedric, and I had taken a small trip to America to visit Uncle Ray. His real name is Robert, but he prefers the name Uncle Ray. He's really a nice guy, but his house smells a little like fish and a he's little too obsessed with cards. He would play card games all day if he could.

Back at home, Cedric and I would fly around on our broomsticks nonstop. I love Quidditch, but I've never really had the chance to actually try out for the team at Hogwarts. I hope I can one year.

I'd be leaving in a week to meet the Weasleys at the Quidditch World Cup. Cedric and I are beyond excited. I can't wait to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione again. We've exchanged a few letters over the summer, but it doesn't change the fact that I really miss them.

Elijah and Riley, people who I once considered to be Cedric's friends are now my own, too. They've visited a lot over the summer. Recently, we've been playing Charades. Elijah's muggleborn and he tells us all about how he plays this with his muggle friends. He's been more than happy to teach us and it really gets a good laugh out of everyone.

"Alright, Y/N, you're next," Cedric says. He had just finished imitating a unicorn and doing a poor job of it.

"Alright, let me think," I lean my head back for a moment and then look out the window. I see our big willow tree in the front yard, "Alright, I got it." I stand up in front of Cedric, Riley, and Elijah. I had the perfect idea, the Whomping Willow.

I put my arms up and flail them around, trying to imitate the Whomping Willow's branches. They all burst out laughing. I probably looked like a lunatic. I give all of them a sharp glare.

"Right—sorry—continue," Cedric says, choking back his laugh. I roll my eyes, then go back to imitating the Whomping Willow. They obviously weren't getting it.

"You need help—"

"You're drowning—"

"Octopus?"

They kept shooting answers at me, but each time I shook my head.

"Oh, fine! We give up!" Riley exclaims, exasperated.

"Are you sure?" I ask, emphasizing the last word.

"Yes! Now tell us why you were flailing like that!" Riley laughs.

"Well, the Whomping Willow, of course!" I say.

"Right, I totally got that..." Elijah says. I can hear sarcasm rolling off his voice.

"Yeah, you got the whomping part down," Cedric says with a thumbs up.

"Shove off, you two. Like you did better with the unicorn, Ced. You looked like you were trying to do the Egyptian dance or something," I say. Riley sniggers. Cedric rolls his eyes.

"It's Elijah's turn now, anyways," Cedric says. Elijah stands up and puts on a thoughtful expression.

"Okay," Elijah says with his face set. He folds his arms so they look like wings and flaps them around. He hops up and down, trying to imitate flying.

"Dragon!" Cedric yells.

"Dragon?!" I laugh, "Where'd you get dragon from?"

"Yeah, it's obviously an owl!" Riley says. Elijah suddenly smiles and gives her a high five.

"You got it!" Elijah says. He winks at me before sitting down next to me. I blush slightly and turn the other way, hoping he didn't notice.

The morning of the Cup was slow and groggy. Cedric and I could barely keep our eyes open as we pull on our jumpers.

"You all ready to go!" Dad says while rubbing his hands together excitedly. Mum was away at the Ministry. She had some last minute work she needed to finish and she unfortunately couldn't come.
