Harry POV:

"Harry Potter must wake up, sir!" A squeaky voice shouts.

My eyes open immediately and I see a small, white blurry blob jumping up and down. I reach around for my glasses and the blob slowly turns into Dobby.

"Dobby?" I look around and see I'm in the library. I must've fallen asleep. After Ron went to bed, I snuck back into the library.

"Hurry! The task starts in ten minutes!" Dobby shouts. I check my watch. Twenty minutes past nine.

"It's too late, Dobby! I can't do the task! I don't know how—"

"Harry Potter will do the task! I found the right book!" Dobby squeaks excitedly.

"But how do you even know the task—"

"Dobby knows! Harry Potter must go into the Black Lake and find his Diggly! Harry Potter must take back his Diggly from the merpeople!" Dobby shouts.

"Wait, what's a Diggly?" I ask.

"Diggly is who was sent to Professor McGonagall last night!" Dobby claps. Diggly... that sounds like... Diggory.

"Dobby, they've got Y/N!" I shout. I throw aside my Invisibility Cloak.

"The thing Harry Potter will miss most, sir!" Dobby chants. 'But past an hour—the prospect's black, Too late, it's gone, it won't come back.' I stare at Dobby, horrified.

"Dobby, what do I do?" I ask, frantically.

"Eat this Gillyweed! Right before you jump into the lake, sir!" Dobby says, holding up a ball that resembles green rat tails, "It will help you breathe underwater, sir!"

"Dobby, you're absolutely sure it will work?"

"Quite sure, sir!" Dobby replies. Well, it was my only shot right now.

"Thank you, Dobby," I snatch the Gillyweed and run to the lake. I can't be late. I need to rescue Y/N before she's gone forever.

I sprint across to the grounds until I finally make it to the lake where the other champions stand. Fleur looked absolutely baffled and Krum just had his same hard expression. Karkaroff didn't seem to happy to see me.

"I'm—here. Don't—start," I pant.

"Let's let the man catch his breath," Ludo Bagman says, "You alright, Harry? You know what you're going to do?"

"Yeah," I reply, still gasping for air.

"Hey, Harry?" I look up and see Cedric. He looked a little panicked and like he was looking for someone.

"Uh...yeah?" I reply.

"You haven't seen Y/N, have you?" Cedric asks, hopeful.

"Well, about that—"

"It's just... she was supposed to wish me good luck. And I haven't seen Cho either... it's just strange," Cedric says, more to himself than to me.

"Look, Cedric—" I'm cut of by Ludo Bagman's booming voice.

"Our champions will now begin the second task, starting on my whistle. They will have one hour to retrieve what has been stolen from them. They will begin in three... two... one!"

I shove the Gillyweed into my mouth, chewing as fast as I can and trying not to gag. I jump into the water, waiting for the Gillyweed to work.

All of the other champions already have gotten a head start on me.

I feel a piercing pain on either side of my neck. Wincing, I grab my neck and feel... gills? I take a breath underwater and smile. I look at my hands and feet. They look green under the surface of the lake, but more importantly, they're webbed.
