Finally sometime alone but Phoenix is too distracted and it turns out the story has not reached the end yet.
Adam tugged Phoenix back to him as they toppled onto his bed, laughing. They both were wrapped in their towels, after having been in the shower together. Phoenix giggled against Adam's lips as he sat up taking Phoenix with him.
They had Adam's house all to themselves and, boy, had they made use of it. They decided after today they'd hold off until their wedding night. At least, that's what they said to each other which they broke two hours ago hours before promising it to each other again.
Phoenix tapped his fingers down Adam's chest. "Red or gold?"
Adam kissed his jaw.
"For what?" he asked and then left a trail of kisses and bruises down Phoenix's throat.
"For the wedding?"
Adam looked up confused. "White?"
Phoenix shook his head. "Giya says white is for death according to Hinduism."
"I thought she's atheist."
"Oh, ya she is but she still likes to follow the traditions."
Adam nodded. "That makes sense."
Phoenix lowered his head onto Adam's shoulder and bit his lip. "How are you feeling?"
Adam looked up confused. "What do you mean? Because right now I am feeling extremely horn–"
Phoenix covered Adam's mouth as he giggled. "I meant after everything that has happened."
Adam shifted back onto the bed and repositioned them so Phoenix was cuddled at his side. He nuzzled into his neck. "I'm okay."
Phoenix stroked his hair. "What about Kyle?"
He sighed looking at Phoenix. "It's over, right? It may not have ended in the best way but it's over. Líla is safe and that is what matters."
"Right," Phoenix said as he sat up.
Adam noticed something was off by the way Phoenix had reacted.
"Is something wrong?"
Phoenix scrunched up his face and then sighed.
"I was going to tell you. It's just we got distracted."
He blushed as his mind replayed their previous activities. He quickly brought himself back down to earth.
"Giya told me, Brian said the jury, seeing as they don't know the full story, were leaning towards Kyle's favour."
Adam shot up. "What does that mean?"
"Even if Kyle is no longer in the picture they still need a closing case because it's no longer an issue of Kyle but rather because you're with me."
