The Intoxicating madness of love
Adam turned the shower on allowing the warm water to dose him.
Running around looking for Phoenix resulted in him being sweaty all over, especially under all the warm clothes.
He pushed his hair back as he stared at the wall.
Adam switched the shower off and grabbed a towel to dry himself. He wrapped one around his waist and then grabbed a smaller one to dry his hair. He walked into the bedroom and he ruffled it through his hair. He stopped with a sigh, hoping he'd have some time to gather his thoughts and prepare himself before Phoenix came back from downstairs.
Adam turned around to find Phoenix, sitting on the bed, legs stretched out and was mid-sip of his water, holding one up. His face was frozen in surprise as his eyes darted up and down, sipping in Adam's body.
Adam opened his mouth unsure what to say. "Ah..."
'Water?" Phoenix forced out finally breaking through the weird tension in the room.
Adam shook his head pointing at his body. "Nope, just had a shower."
And the tension got thicker.
Phoenix nodded looking to the side for the TV remote and Adam turned around cringing at himself. Phoenix sighed getting off the bed. "Do you mind if I take a shower?"
Adam, still not looking at him shook his head. Phoenix disappeared into the bathroom and Adam turned back around taking in a deep breath.
Why was it so awkward suddenly?
He looked at the bed. It's not like he and Phoenix haven't done anything like this before but now ever since Grace had given him her blessing, Adam has felt a whole new magnetic force towards Phoenix, one that made him want to smash his lips to Phoenix's and pin him against the wall as they...
Adam ran a hand through his hair.
"Good God, help me," he whispered under his breath.
Adam looked for his clothes but remembered he'd left them in the bathroom. He gave himself a pep talk, trying to put his impulses on a leash.
He slowly opened the bathroom door and could vaguely see Phoenix in there. Adam tiptoed to his clothes and clutched them to walk back. He took three steps and stopped looking back at Phoenix. Adam bit his lip wondering if he should join him but shook his head and continued to leave.
