She likes to touch Phoenix's oranges and Brian goes shopping with Massimo?!

Adam pushed the trolley, down the veggie aisle, as Phoenix walked behind him, scrolling through his phone. Occasionally, when Adam stopped to get things, Phoenix would pick something up and put it back.

This time, he picked up a cabbage and Adam smacked his arm.

"Ow," Phoenix rubbed the spot where Adam had smacked him. "What was that for?"

"Can you stop touching everything? How would you like it if someone touched your food before you bought it?" He huffed in frustration. "You're like a five-year-old child. Keep your hands to yourself."

Phoenix gave him a narrowed stare and resisted the urge to stick his tongue out as he put the lettuce back. He stuffed his hands in his pocket and walked away.

Adam watched him for a while before going back to get the ingredients. Once he was done, he continued to push the trolley until he would reach his next stop.

He kept an eye on Phoenix as he bobbed around the fruit aisle.

Phoenix looked around and then picked something up.

Adam stopped walking and glared at him, cursing under his breath. "What part of 'keep your hands to yourself', didn't he get?"

Before he could call out to Phoenix, a girl, perhaps in her teens, walked up to him.

Adam stopped as she giggled leaning toward Phoenix, batting her eyelashes. She whispered something to him and Adam watched as he reluctantly nodded. She reached for the thing in his hands, touched it and then scurried off, blushing, to meet up with the rest of her friends who giggled as they walked away.

Phoenix turned around, with a quizzical look written on his face, and Adam saw the oranges he was holding. Phoenix put them back and made his way to Adam.

Adam quickly turned back to the ingredients, as if he didn't see the encounter.

As Phoenix stepped beside him, Adam picked up some jalapeños, not looking at him. "What was that about?"

Phoenix shrugged. "I'm not sure?"

"What did she want?" Adam asked, trying to sound as neutral as possible.

"She... she asked if she could touch my oranges?" Phoenix seemed unsure of the whole situation himself.

Adam finally turned to face him and raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

Phoenix gave him a look that suggested he was just as confused.

"Probably some dumb dare her friends made her do," Adam said, with a bitter undertone.

Phoenix laughed humourlessly. "You would know all about dumb dares." He turned to the side mumbling, "I'm sure you'd love it if Evelyn asked to touch your oranges."
