Scene 13: Sam's bedroom
Sam's playing on his drums.
Sam's Mom: Sam!! ... Sam!! ... SAM!!!
Sam: Huh?!!
Sam's Mom: Asher's here.
Sam: Oh! Awesome.
Asher runs down with two huge bags
Sam: Hey, what's up you didn't say you were coming over
This line is cut off when Asher gives him a hug. Depending on the set, you can have the boys sit on the floor and Sam cradles Asher, or have them sit on the bed and Asher leans his head on Sam. I don't care if Sam is shorter than Asher, he will be "taller" in this shot.
Sam: You told them.
Asher: they found out about how I didn't apply to college.
Sam: I told you you wouldn't get away with that for long
Asher: and then it just came out when we were arguing
Sam: it just came out?
Asher: yeah
Sam: you just came out?
Asher: shut up.
A moment of gay silence. This is such a gay moment, let it be gay. Let the chemistry smoke up the entire theater with rainbows.
Sam: So are you staying here?
Asher: yeah.
Sam: for a while?
Asher: Is that okay?
Sam: Ash, we've talked about this exact scenario. The agreement would be that you move in with us. Do you have all your stuff?
Asher: Yeah, as many essentials that I could grab and my guitar.
Sam: Perfect. That's all we really need isn't it?
Asher: Yeah, it really is.
Sam: our music-
Asher: and each other.
More gay silence. There would be a kiss here if it was a straight musical. Thank goodness it's a gay one and we're going to create more tension.
Sam: Always. Now, you get some sleep, I'll take the floor
Asher: You're too good to me
Sam: Damn right I am. I'm the freaking best
Asher: haha!
