Author's Note: This chapter was really fun to write and it meant doing lots of research to find wiccan and pagan ceremonies. Part of the Ceremony that I've described is a mixture of lots of real life ceremonies as well as reading into the Charmed universe. I came across some websites and articles making reference to the Charmed books and one of them includes this ceremony and so I took parts of that and adapted it for Lila. Based on that this ceremony is not entirely my own imagination however I'm aware that the Charmed books are extra stories that are not necessarily seen as being canon.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it during the first lockdown.

"We five stand before the elements on a night where the earth no longer retains her control over the weather." The Firestarter's voice became deeper as he began the Ceremony.
"At each point of the pentagram stands an Elemental, representing their element. Each Elemental carries a token to offer to you, the elements, as well." Token? I didn't know of a token?
I could see that what the Firestarter had said was correct. The Windwalker held a branch of sorts, but when I focused my attention on him, I could make out the branch was in fact a wand. The Firestarter held an athame, which I could tell by the glint of the blade under the flashes of lightning. The Waterbearer held what looked like a chalice that had little stones of Sapphire around, possibly used as a stone to enhance her power and I could tell that it was well looked after while the Earthshaker held coins. Why would coins represent Earth? Unless it was because they are made from chemical elements that are taken from the earth?
The Firestarter became quiet and I focused my attention on him, seeing that he was staring at a point in the middle of the circle. Fire suddenly erupted and I felt my body grow warm as the blaze of Fire grew until it looked like a bonfire.
I frowned at the fact that the elements hadn't been invoked yet. Was the Ceremony different to the sacred circles I did? Would I not be performing a sacred circle at all if I were to lead the Ceremony of the Elementals? Did everything work differently purely because a Melvyn wasn't in charge? I had a lot of questions, but they would have to wait and I would have to focus.
Spirit, please lend me the power to help my fellow Elementals on this night I thought as I heard the Firestarter take another deep breath.
"Guardians of the North, the West, the South, the East,
Join together in the spirit of the circle,
And bring about peace.
Calm the winds, holds back the rains, subdue the fire, and let Earth rest.
On this Night of Chaos, in this the Circle of the Elements,
We implore you to take back your power by using our strength" the Firestarter yelled and I frowned. Was that supposed to be a chant or a spell or a plea for help from the elements? I couldn't quite figure it out.
The Firestarter spread his arms wide and I saw the others do the same, so I followed their lead, spreading my arms out to the right and left as though reaching for the Windwalker and the Earthshaker either side of me.
Melvyn Elemental Electric called before lightning crashed onto the floor just a few feet away from the Firestarter. The four Elementals cringed and I glared at the lightning.
"STOP!" I cried, holding my hand to the lightning that was falling just above the Firestarter's head and the lightning forked, hitting the ground either side of the Firestarter.
