Dating a Charmed One (Rewritten)

Chapter 6

"Thank God today is over with!" I sighed, leaving last period which luckily had been independent study since the teacher had left moments before our class started since he was vomiting. I hadn't noticed any illnesses going around but schools were the perfect places for bacteria to spread.

"I know!" Amy exclaimed happily and I grinned at her before shaking my head.

"You're only excited because you'll get to see Wyatt on the walk home" Terri teased and Amy childishly stuck her tongue out at Terri and me as we both laughed, but her blue eyes glittered happily which made me grin at her. Then there was me. I was feeling a little sorry for myself because Chris had been avoiding me all day, even sitting with Amy in between the two of us during last period. It was a pain because Kristy had definitely noticed Chris's weird behaviour and was ecstatic that it meant we were no longer a couple. I'd decided that after his weird behaviour yesterday, I couldn't ignore what was going on with him any longer and so I was planning on asking him about it when we got home.

Speaking of Chris, he'd already gone ahead and I noticed him say hello to Drew. What was he thinking getting mixed up with a douche like Drew? Especially after what had happened after Wyatt's basketball game.

"So what's going on with you and Chris?" Amy asked quietly as we followed Chris and his friends out of the school building and to the field where we would wait for everyone else. I just shrugged my shoulders. Terri sighed.

"Come on Lila. You can talk to us you know?" I smiled up at Terri. She seemed to have made more of an effort ever since Josh had disappeared and I had to say that I was quite happy that we seemed to have gotten closer over the last few months.

"There's nothing to talk about at the moment because I honestly don't know what's going on. He's been acting weird since yesterday. He barely touched me then as well. Today he's just completely avoided me" I sighed and Terri wrapped her arm around my shoulders as Amy held my left hand, the two of them squishing me in between them which made me smile a little.

"You know we're here for you right? We do love you" Amy stated and Terri nodded enthusiastically, showing me that she agreed with what Amy said before she grinned and fisted her right hand.

"And if Kristy gives you hell at all, I'll smash my fist into her perfect little nose" Terri grinned, a little scarily and I couldn't help but to laugh. It felt good knowing that my friends had my back, even Terri and she didn't know who we were.

"So what's going on with you and Wyatt?" Terri asked Amy, who blushed brightly which made me smirk at her and I knew from Amy's reaction that Terri was probably doing the same.

"Just the usual."

"Have you kissed him yet?" I giggled at Terri's constant questions and Amy rolled her eyes but nodded and she grew red again which made both Terri and I laugh as Terri glanced at me quickly as we stopped walking when we'd reached the field. I frowned but ignored Terri's weird look and focused on Amy.

"What was it like?" I asked and she blushed before looking down at her feet.

"Well, we've kissed a few times. Every time is always sweet." Terri and I both smirked at Amy, who seemed like she was on cloud nine before I hummed in thought.

"Who would've guessed that my annoying, pain in the ass brother could be sweet?" I asked and Amy snorted before looking at me pointedly.

"He's your brother. You know him, probably better than I do so of course you knew he was sweet" Amy stated and I grinned at her before shrugging my shoulders just as Terri made a weird noise that sounded like she was being strangled.

"BROTHER?" she yelled, causing Chris's shoulders to tighten since I had positioned myself so that I could watch his back while we waited for Wyatt, Mel and Caleb to join us. Amy and I winced and I quickly turned my attention to Terri who looked like I just told her that I ate puppies to survive.
