Chapter 23

"I'm sorry. I know this is happening a lot recently but thank you for coming" I stated as everyone took their seats and my Aunts and Uncles smiled at me before nodding and sitting down on the two armchairs.

Vincent, Riley, Janae and Ronnie had squished themselves onto the couch while Michael stood on my left and Chris and Wyatt sat on the arms of the couch. Piper and Leo stood in the doorway- opposite where I was standing by the fireplace- leading to the foyer. I sighed as Amy walked in, carrying a can of cola for herself and handing me one so I smiled gratefully at her but felt my stomach churn. Joe, Milly and Jason were standing behind the armchairs.

"The elements told me today that the Ceremony would be happening on Friday" I began and saw the shock on everyone's faces which made me smile and shrug my shoulders.

"My mom said that Earth told her as well when she was supposed to do her Ceremony at Christmas, but obviously she never got that chance. Anyway, that was something important that I found out about today, however something really big happened. It's sickening and scary and shows us what might have been happening this entire time" I began and saw Piper frown at me and so I focused on her before smiling sadly which made her frown even more.

"In my elective class today, we were trying to open ourselves up and be happy hearing thoughts and emotions, specifically the ones of the person we were partnered with. In doing so we had to try and tap into their active powers."

"Is that why we suddenly felt your presence through the bond today?" Chris asked and I saw Vincent nod, which made both of my soulmates look at the guy who I classed as a second brother. Vincent sighed.

"Even Professor Shay was impressed with the psychic strength that Lila had. When she took away her mental barriers, everyone was surprised. She didn't do anything. She wasn't reading thoughts or emotions, but her presence was so hard to ignore. It was like she was the size of the classroom" Vincent rambled and Wyatt chuckled at this as Amy leaned into his side.

I rolled my eyes at Vincent's explanation before sighing and turning back to look at the Halliwells. Aunt Paige and Aunt Phoebe had chosen to keep their children at home today, though who was looking after them I wasn't sure. It wouldn't surprise me if Billie was babysitting somewhere. I hadn't seen her in a while but I knew she'd been spending a lot of time looking for jobs.

"Well, I expanded my senses outwards and came across a witch who was frustrated because she couldn't work her photokinesis and she was annoyed because her mom had really good control when she was her age."

"Her frustration is why she struggled" Aunt Phoebe stated and I nodded in agreement before clearing my throat.

"Anyway, I tapped into her frustration and found that I was able to use her photokinesis. I didn't even know who she was. It was weird and everyone just stared at me. I wasn't in the classroom for long though because I felt her fear and was thrown into her body." I took a deep breath and Michael suddenly twined his fingers with my own which made me feel a little better. For once Wyatt, Chris and Vincent weren't standing beside me. Michael was instead and it felt nice to have one of my other friends with me instead of one of my soulmates.

"She was being tortured by a demon who was looking for me. I found out that she was a student at Magic School and because of her close proximity to me, she had my smell on her which the demon picked up on.

"I was her. I had her thoughts and feelings and she was scared because this demon had black eyes and was furious. She knew that only powerful upper level demons typically had black eyes and she knew he was strong because he was keeping her pressed against the wall. If she angered him, he'd slam her against the wall but he didn't use his hands. He was using telekinesis to keep her against the wall."
