I woke up on Friday, tired as ever because this whole week everyone's been bombarded with homework by every single teacher in the school. This sadly included me, even the laid-back history teacher is giving us homework! It also doesn't help that the science teacher gave us a group project that's due today and I don't even have a partner! Ever since that "fight" with Kelly everybody's been avoiding me and giving me weird looks in the hallways. I mean come on man isn't this school like the best in this entire county, isn't supposed to be accepting to everyone? As I got some pants on, I heard my phone buzz on my nightstand. It was a text from Scarlet. "Yo, do you think we could meet at the top of the roof after schools done? I was thinking we could try and tame your powers a bit with somethin I just learned how to do :D"

"ight, does 7:00 sound good? 5:00 could work too"

"Whichever one sounds good to you :)" I smiled and put my phone down to continue getting ready. I brushed my hair, put a hoodie on and called it a day. I grabbed the necklace Scarlet gave to me, plopped it around my neck and I was on my way. As I was on my way, I felt like I forgot something, I looked around at the dorm before I left and saw something on the counter. I went over and it said it was addressed to me. I opened it and read the weird letter. "First Friday of November, Gym, I think you're smart enough to fill in the rest." I paid no mind to it since it was just some random threat someone was probably dared to do something like 'yo, bro I dare you to send a threat to the werewolf lady' I laughed a bit at my own joke and stared on my way to class.

The day was almost over. My last period was gym, and I wondered what in the living hell the coach would put me through this time. Ever since he figured out I was a werewolf, he's been giving me double the work as everyone else. Instead of 5 laps around the gym I would have to do 10, if I was lucky. "Alrighty today we're running a mile, where we're gonna head outside and we'll go from there, Zena you stay inside." There was a collective groan from everyone including me. The coach headed outside, and I was left alone in the empty gym. I laid on my side and looked at the empty gym. It was kind of creepy but calming at the same time. I took off my necklace and asked Lin "Is there anything I need to know before I try to get control of you?"

"Yea about that, don't know if I told you already or not but me and... that thing, are connected but not the same. If I get pissed it comes out. I feel like it's me but can't communicate and can only just...attack." I stared into space for a sec "Are there any tips for, I guess, meeting her?"

"I've tried talking to it, but it only knows how to be violent. I've tried fighting back but it always wins. Maybe because of that pathetic excuse of a man who treated it so horribly but it's just a hunch." I thought for a moment and finally said "Alright, I don't think you should call the werewolf an it though. Besides that, um see you in a bit?"

"Yea, I...I wish you luck."

Coach Casey walked in and jumped me awake. "Alright so-"

"Lemme, guess you want me to stay after school to run 5 miles?" Coach looked at me crazy and said "What?! No of course not! Coach Philips is watching everyone outside, and I need help with errands" I looked around and said "huh, alright...then. What kind of errands?" The coach picked up a clipboard and walked past me. "You go pick up the balls from the other PE class, I'm going to the office to drop off some papers." I hopped up from the bleachers and realized just how many dodgeballs, basketballs, and volleyballs were on the floor. "Good luck wolf girl!" I opened my mouth to say something, but I just smiled at him and yelled back "Have fun in marriage counseling with your office wife!"

After a bit I finally got all the balls back where they belonged. Basketballs on the rack, dodge balls and volleyballs in the bucket, you get the jist. As soon as I sat down, I heard the back door open, and a bunch of tired teens came out. Next thing I knew the bell rang, and everyone limped out of the gym and to their dorms. I went to my dorm to drop my stuff off and get ready for whatever the hell Scarlet had planned.

I stood on top of the roof waiting for Scarlet to arrive. I looked out upon the city. It seemed loud and bright; everyone was getting off of work so that was expected. I looked up at the sky, pretty clear for the afternoon. I heard the click of the iron doors and turned around to see Scarlet catching her breath. "Sorry I'm late-" She wheezed "Kelly was *huff* being an A-hole." I stretched as Scarlet said "Anyways, let's do this thing." She pointed to my bag "What I'm gonna need you to do is get your knife and keep your necklace on."

"I thought we were trying to control her, not break her!" Scarlet waved her hand and said, "yea yea I know I sound crazy but trust me, I've done my research this should work." I got out the knife out of my tiny backpack and released the blade with a click of a button. "Alright, now remember what you told me you thought of Lin, uh destruction, chaos all that jazz." I closed my eyes and thought about everything she said, "Ok now trust me on this." I opened one of my eyes. She took a shaky breath and said hesitantly "The knife...I-I think you know where this is going"

"Wait, you actually want me to, you know..." There had to be another way to get her out...right? "I looked at everything and it's the only way! If you don't want to do it...you don't have to." We stood in silence. I thought about what Scarlet said to do. Think about everything Lin and the werewolf was. I looked at the knife then back at Scarlet. I took a deep breath then said, trying not to cry. "Wish me luck." Then Slit my wrist with the knife as hard as I could. "Zena, WAIT!" I heard Scarlet cry out as I closed my eyes and accepted the worst.

I opened my eyes, and I was in a black dream like space. I felt like my own self, like I wasn't multiple people in one. I looked around and after a bit I noticed a cage with a blurry blue creature inside it. I approached the cage and saw a werewolf that seemed to just be sitting. Something about her just seemed, all too familiar. I opened the cage and the wolf's ears pierced up. She turned around and immediately pounced on top of me. She snarled in my face to seem intimidating. I was a bit startled but made sure to seem calm. The wolf seemed confused and got off of me. I stood up and the wolf seemed very wary of me. I looked at her and approached. She got ready to attack and instead of me attacking her...I hugged her. I felt her stop and her heart slow down. She slowly accepted it and she started to cry. I heard her cry, and she didn't sound menacing but more like a kid. She hugged me tighter and the world around me slowly started to light up. I seemed more and more like a real place again. I closed my eyes and knew I did something great.

I opened my eyes, and I was standing right where I was before, but something was different. There was something that just felt way too familiar. I looked around and everything was the same as before. I looked down at my hands and I had shifted, as I expected. I looked up at Scarlet and she looked stunned. "Holy hell that actually worked!" She said in disbelief. I smiled a little bit and said, "yea I guess it did..." Scarlet started cheering and I stopped her and said "Yea I can shift into my werewolf form at will, but I can't shift back that's the problem-" I was waving my hands around and noticed they were back to normal already. Usually, it would take 30 minutes to an hour to shift back and all I did was think about it and bam. "Wait a minute,'' I said. Scarlet looked with anticipation. I looked at my hand and thought about shifting then just like that, *Poof* werewolf paw. I looked down and patted the top of my head and everything else was normal. I thought about my hand shifting back and it was back to normal just like that. I looked back up at Scarlet. "HOLY SHIT YOU DID IT!" I yelled running up to hug her as I cried tears of joy.
