I sat in the tub staring at the ceiling recollecting my thoughts. It had been a few months since the fight but every now and again I would get really bad leg cramps. I had a bunch of scars, which was new for me, from staying in, what I have dubbed, my 75% form for a long while. Scarlet's been really quiet and has stayed in her room ever since the fight. I don't know what she's been doing in there, but I decided to leave her be for the time being. Even though I had already named the form, I didn't even know what my 75% werewolf form even looked like. I knew I shouldn't, but I was extremely curious, thank God I didn't get hurt. I slowly eased my way out of the tub and dried off. As I went to get clothes on, I started to wonder about those portals that had sucked up Kelly and that Jake seemed to have summoned. I tried to wrap my head around it but it was like something was, stopping me from thinking about it. I put a bra and some shorts on, grabbed my switchblade and stared myself down in the mirror. I was still getting used to seeing my reflection and not Lin's. I stared at my hair and my roots were still brown, it even looked like they grew out a bit more. I stared at myself in the mirror and took a deep breath and sliced my wrist back open.
Whenever I did it during the fight it didn't hurt that much, it just felt like bumping into a table. This time it hurt like, A LOT. "OW FUCK" I screamed as I grabbed my wrist. To add insult to injure I bumped my head on the ceiling. I backed up and bumped into the towel rack. I mean I knew I would get taller but Jesus Chrysler, I didn't know it would be this bad. After standing there for a bit, waiting for my head to stop I started to bandage my wrist. Whenever I got done my head still hurt a lot, so I just stood there, leaning on the counter of the sink. As I did, I looked up in the mirror and was shocked at what I saw. I was me obviously but there were patches of blue fur on my face: one on my cheek and a bigger patch over the eye that my hair didn't cover. I looked down and there were more patches of fur on my stomach. My little ears were pointier than usual and very fluffy. My tail seemed longer and fluffier than before. I would also like to say to the court that I in fact...had a Boop snoot. I had never had one before in my other forms so I in fact, booped it. It was wet and without any prompting my tail started wagging. After investigating a bit more I tried to shift back but it didn't really work. I'm guessing it's because I was still injured after the fight, so maybe my body was trying to use the werewolf regeneration to heal itself. I think after that day I had a bruise on my forehead from hitting it on doorways so many times. All I could do was sit in my bed and wait.
Over the next week my entire body hurt, and I was able to skip school, but the school nurse had to visit me every morning and night. Finally on Saturday I was able to stand up without going, "ow crap" so I decided I was going to head into town. I hadn't been there in a hot second and spring break was in like 2 weeks away, so I wanted to get used to it again. Walking down the street I saw a lot of places I recognized, and some I didn't. Like how I recognized the small corner store I always went to get a snack and didn't recognize the newly built laundry mat. There weren't that many people out, but that's probably because it was stupid hot outside. I saw a few pixies flying around and some fae gossiping outside of a restaurant. I approached the crosswalk and waited and looked up at the sky. Since it was sunset, the clouds were a nice pastel pink against an orange, blue and purple sky. After I walked across the street I arrived at my destination: Mystic Cafe. The same cafe I had worked at after I escaped Dr. Weinstein. It was a cafe that served everybody, creature, hybrid or human. Some places didn't allow certain species or types of creatures into their establishments, this place was different. This place lets anyone come in and anyone work there.
I smiled at the coolly colored shop with blue and gold accents with its purple base color. I walked in and heard the bell on the door ring. I looked around and the place hadn't changed a bit since I left. The walls were lined with vines and flowers that varied from roses to moonflowers. The satyr at the front desk raised their head up "Zena!" The flowers along the walls bloomed as they saw me. To put a long story short, Sai, that's their name, can control plants and stuff and plants are affected by their emotions. "Hey Sai! How are you holding up in here?" I asked, walking towards the front. "Business is actually pretty good! Yea there's a wako that'll come in saying 'HoW cOuLd YoU aLlOw SuCh A tHiNg!" They said laughing "Enough about me, how's the prestigious Wisteria High?" I shrugged off the question "Meh it's alright, I mean there was a demon girl there, but she got sucked into a portal a few days back-"
"Wait wait wait WHAT?!? Slow down man! There was a demon girl that got sucked into a portal?!?! Bestie you can't just leave it off there you gotta tell me more!" They quickly closed the cashier box and clicked the button behind the counter that turned off the open sign. "I was getting ready to close anyway! Here, I'll make some coffee and you can spill the tea!" They smiled at me as they got the water ready, and I told them everything that had happened so far.
