Chapter 18-Aftermath part 2 electric boogaloo

I woke up in my bed feeling not so great. My brain hurt, my body hurt, it just all hurt. See after a full moon there's obviously going to be scars and such along with headache. It's like a werewolf hangover if you will. I didn't really remember what happened last night, so I was pretty confused when Milinda and Scarlet busted down my room door wondering if I was ok. My head made their words fuzz together and my vision was still a bit blurry from waking up. Milinda and Scarlet asked if I was ok. I nodded a little bit and asked them if they could leave me alone for a bit because of the werewolf hangover. They left and I stared at the ceiling, just like I did at the beginning of this event. I tried to recall some of the events of last night. Then I remembered something: Alissa's eyes. I remember them vividly, they were filled with not hatred and rage, more like excitement. I sat up in my bed and realized, those weren't her eyes. I jumped out of bed and looked around for something to put on. My head obviously still hurt but at that point I didn't care. I found a hoodie and some baggy jeans and called it a day. Before leaving my dorm though I looked at myself in the mirror. My blue hair, even after being bruised, was still a bit messy, and my eyes were a piercing blue. I shook it off, grabbed my bag and burst out of the dorm. After leaving for my quest, I realized I had no idea where I was going.

After a quick conversation with Scarlet about the whereabouts of someone I was off on my quest. I met Jake in the gym. He stood at the other end like he was waiting for me. I cracked my knuckles and tried to sound intimidating. "Alright emo, you've got some explaining to do. Why the hell did your eyes appear on this random girl in the woods huh?" He laughed a bit, like he was mocking me. "What are you even talking about? What do you think I am, a shapeshifter? They went extinct years ago!" I started realizing that I sounded crazy, but I stood my ground anyways. "You listen here. I remember people by their eyes and your eyes are very distinct. They've got a black sclera, black iris and a black slit pupil." While talking, I started walking towards him. He was smiling like he knew something I didn't. "Oh no! You caught me!" He announced, waving his arms in the air. His smile faded into a grimace." Did you really think you could get me that easily?" he leaned into my ear and whispered. "You're going to have to try harder than that 005" He then smiled at me and left the gym. I was left standing there alone, as tears rolled down my face without me even noticing.

I came back into my dorm, exhausted and a mess. It all happened so fast, but I now know something. Jake was like me, and I mean this in a literal sense. I hate to say this, but we were...made by the same person. I couldn't think about that for too long though because whenever my head hit my pillow Milinda knocked on the door and she and Scarlet came inside. "Hey, Zena, this might not be a good time, but we've got some questions." Scarlet announced sincerely. "Um my friend Vix said he ran into you in the forest, and you started crying, then you started talking about killing a guy called 'Weinstein' or something?" I flinched at his name. Scarlet asked, "wait isn't Weinstein that famous scientist that works for the H.E.C or something?" I sighed and answered. "It's the H.C.M: human, crossbreeds and mythical creatures. I know the name way too well." Scarlet asked jokingly "what is the guy your dad or something?" I shuddered at the thought of being the daughter of such a cruel man. "Well, I was going to tell you at some point, I mean you guys already know I'm a werewolf, and a weird one at that so might as well destroy my reputation even more!" I joked. I took a deep breath in, and a shutter of an exhale came out "Let me start at the beginning, the very beginning"
