Chapter 13-Wait...What Happened?

"Heads Up!" I closed my eyes and braised for impact but somehow my body moved out of the way. I moved my arms away from my face and was stunned. I looked up at Scarlet and she was as stunned as me. She shook it off and made another fireball and immediately threw it at me. I dodged again, and this went on for a bit. I looked at scarlet and she seemed pretty tired but it seemed like she realized something. She shifted her feet a bit and flew up into the sky. I tried to see where she went but couldn't. Next thing I know, Scarlet's on top of me, pinning me down with her boot. I blacked out again, like I did during the fight. All I could see was a colorless color, like when you close your eyes to sleep. I couldn't talk, couldn't hear, nothing. After a minute or two I was finally able to open my eyes and I was blinded by the sunlight. I squinted and looked around a bit. I looked beside me and Scarlet was sitting on a bench looking at her phone. She looked at me, looked back at her phone, did a double take and said, "oh thank god you're awake!" She got up and smiled "you were out for like 15 minutes give or take. Thought you were dead!" She laughed a bit but I was just confused. "Wait, it's been 15 minutes!? But you just pinned me down like a few minutes ago!" She was still smiling but raised an eyebrow and said "What no, it's been like an hour!" I started to stand up and said "An hour!? That doesn't even make sense! I black out when you pin me, sit in the void for a bit then and it's been an hour!" Scarlet dropped the smile and looked off in the distance for a bit. "weird, I mean it did seem like it was a different person, it probably was to be honest." she mumbled to herself. "Wait, wait wait, a different person?! Like an alter ego?!" Scarlet shrugged and said, "I mean they had your voice and all but it seemed like whoever I was talking to wasn't you." I was really startled and didn't know how to respond. "So...I blacked out and then a different personality came out and th-then what? Did-whoever you were talking to, hurt you?" She crossed her arms and said "Well when she came out she kicked me off you then pinned me down-" I jumped up and said startled "wait WHAT?! Ok tell me exactly, EXACTLY what happened when I blacked out Ok?" She stretched and said "alllllright, but let's at least go inside, the suns probably in your eyes too." I looked at the view and said, "Can we like...go off campus? Maybe like to the city?" Scarlet started walking towards the door back to the school. "Not today, and not for this situation. Besides, you still got some ears and a tail to deal with." I patted my head and sure enough there where 2 fluffy ears. Damn it I thought those were gone >:/. Alright this voice is definitely not my thoughts. I'll tell Scarlet later though. While we walked down the stairs I thought about what the hell just happened. I kept on repeating what happened to try and make sense of it. Every now and again I would snap out of it and whenever I did I would see one or two people looking at me. It was weird I wasn't hurting anyone I was just walking around. Why are they looking at us? Oh great there's an "us" now. "Hey Zena! Where at the dorms." Scarlet while snapping at me. "Oh yea sorry." As I walked in I heard Scarlet shut the door. I went to sit down in front of the fireplace. "Alright I'll tell you what I remember, which is a lot so get ready."

As I blacked out I switched to whatever other "personality" I had and kicked Scarlet off of me. She was caught of guard so my personality took that to her advantage and pinned Scarlet down: put Scarlet's hands behind her back and had her to the ground stomach down. "Oh good you finally started to fight back!" She tried to fight back "hey um it's cool that you like did something but can you like unpin me now?" She struggled a bit more "Z-Zena this isn't funny" My alter ego seemed confused and quietly said "Who's Zena?" Scarlet started heating up her hand to make a fireball and grabbed my wrist. My alter got off Scarlet and examined my wrist. Scarlet quickly got up and said. "Ok Zena I don't know what the hell you're playing at but I don't like it one bit." My alter ego said quietly and calmly, "I don't think I'm who you are looking for." Scarlet relaxed her shoulders a bit and said "alright then. Who are you then?" My alter looked at my wrist and said "Lin..." Scarlet seemed surprised that Lin answered and said "alright then "Lin" what's your deal?" Lin looked up from my wrist and said "what do you mean?" Scarlet started walking closer to Lin and said " I mean what's your deal with deciding to take over my friend's body!?" Once again Lin responded "We've been together for a while actually." Scarlet started getting irritated. "Oh really now? For how long then?" Lin looked down at my wrist again. "Can't say." Scarlet gripped my shoulder "And why is that?!" Lin quickly looked up grabbed, Scarlet's wrist with both hands and slammed her to the ground. "How about I ask you a question pink hair. Why am I here and who are you?" Scarlet knew for sure that this was definitely not Zena. She slowly got up and said "ok ok, I'm Scarlet." Lin pointed to Jake and Milinda watching the whole scene play out. "Who are they and why are they here?" Scarlet finally fully got up and said. "Emo one is Jake and the fairy girl is Milinda. Jake's here to watch and Milinda is here for moral support." Lin seemed satisfied and said "may I leave now? I only come out when it's a life or death situation, or if I'm forced. Thankfully she hasn't learned to force me out yet though." Scarlet shook her head and said "Wait! You can be forced out?!" Lin sighed and said "yea but all I know is that I can be forced. I don't know how though. I heard someone say something about it." Scarlet let out a sad sigh and said "alright. BUT! You can't leave yet!" Scarlet got out a notebook and continued "I've got some questions for you" Lin sighed and said "I'm not confirming or denying your theory on my powers. Now if you don't mind I'm gonna go now." Scarlet called out "WAIT!" Lin walked up to scarlet and grabbed her by the collar of her suit. "I swear to god if you say "wait" one more time I will rip that tiny little horn out of your skull like a staple out of a wall!" Scarlet forced herself to blush "kinda hot no gonna lie" Lin dropped her immediately "The hell?!" Scarlet spoke under her breath "works every time." Lin started wiping her hands off on my jacket "The hell is wrong with you?!" Scarlet shrugged and said "You tell me sis" Lin was confused but shook her head and said "Whatever, I guess you wanna know how my power works now?" scarlet looked at her note book and said "uhh yea actually." Lin sighed and started listing all the down sides and upsides to being like this and finally said "ok... I can go now, right?" Scarlet looked at her book one more time and said "uhh yep! You're good to go!" Lin let out a sigh of relief, walked over to the bench that Jake and Milinda where sitting on and literally passed out. Jake and Milinda decided they should leave and Scarlet said she would keep watch of me. Then around 15 minutes later I woke back up.
