Chapter 27-False Control

I stood there as I heard a collective gasp from the crowd. Once I ...shifting, double shifting? I didn't really know what it was at the time. Besides the point, once I did, I stared Jake down. I think I had gotten taller, because instead of being eye level with Jake, I was looking down on him. I could hear almost every conversation in the crowd of people, I could smell every single basketball, volleyball and dodgeball inside of the gym, and for some reason, I tasted blood. "Well damn! I knew you were a genetic freak of nature, but I didn't know that-" he gestured towards me "this!" The crowd had a collective "ooooOOOOoooo" with a few giggles from some of the girls. They were pixies to be precise, I don't know how I knew that, but I just knew. "Don't even try to pull that card you bitch; you're as messed up as me and you know that for a fact!" There was another "OOOOh!" from the crowd. "Alright then, say how about we get some audience participation! At this point this is a show, isn't it?" There was a "WOOOOOO" from the crowd. "Who wants to fight this beast of a thing!" The crowd fell silent. "Come on guys! Isn't this wisteria high? One of the most prestigious schools for magical creatures?!"

"I'll do it" I turned to the source of the sound, and no shit I saw the bitch herself: Kelly. I stared in disbelief as Kelly walked to where Jake told her to stand. There was something just...weird about Kelly, she didn't look weird, it was just her entire vibe that was throwing me off. It just felt weird. "Well then, I was going to save this for Friday, but this will do." She adjusted the cuff of her sleeve as she spoke. It's like she wasn't confident, but she knew exactly what was going to happen. "Alright then ladies, fair fight, whoever gets knocked out, resigns or gets badly injured first loses." fair fight my ass, there's something clearly wrong with Kelly! It's like someone is going to make sure she doesn't lose. I'm going to change the future.

Jake counted down "3,2 1, ...*TWEET*" Kelly flew up into the air and dived at me. She was able to pin me, but I kicked her off before she could do anything. Before I was able to get a hit on her, she went back into the air fast as lightning. She stayed in the air for a bit, and I watched her like a hawk. It's like she was showing off that she had wings. I didn't notice it before, but it seemed that Kelly's wings were not only bigger but had even blacker tips that, if you stared at it long enough, looked like it was creepy up the wings. Kelly took me being zoned out at her wings to throw a fireball and I got hit. It singed some of my hair, but it always heals itself, so I didn't care and got back up. "COME DOWN AND FIGHT COWARD!" I yelled getting frustrated at Kelly not making this a fair game. She swooped down again and landed on the floor making a row of fire erupt and aim straight towards me. I dodged and took my chance to tackle her. I was able to pin her down. She giggled a bit then disappeared right in front of me. I got up and started to look for her until I looked up and there she was again. I looked back at her wings and sure enough her wings were even more engulfed in black. I was starting to get worried when I looked back at Kelly, and she had formed a black claw and was charging for me. I braced for impact and started fist fighting with Kelly. She clawed me, I bit her, I got punched and I kicked her shins. We kept doing this for a while until she finally kicked me down then flew back up into the air. She looked down on me yelled "Well well well, how the tables have turned FLEA FUCK!" She started to laugh maniacally and looked back at her wings, and they were solid black.

It happened so fast, even with my enhanced senses I couldn't see it. There wasn't a flash of light or anything it just...happened. Kelly's wings, that had turned solid black, that she had been showing off this entire fight: disintegrated. She stopped laughing immediately and fell to the hard gym wood floor. The entire crowd started whispering. "Holy hell what happened?!"

"I-I don't know man! I looked away for a second!"

"IS SHE DEAD?!?"

"Did the wolf girl do it!?! DID IT KILL HER?!?"

"Alright everyone settles down settle down" Jake announced, "Kelly is still alive, and we are going to get her to the nurse as soon as-." Jake paused then seemed to count down "5,4,3,2...1" As he got to one the ground ripped open, and Kelly was taken down the portal and as soon as she was it closed. I heard a familiar voice from the crowd. "Move move move I SAID MOVE! No no no no no NO! Where is she?! Kelly! Where did she go!?!?" It was Scarlet, she looked scared and frantic. She turned Jake and growled "YOU! WHERE IS SHE!?!" Jake backed up a bit and said "Hey hey, I don't know where she went, she just...you know-" he tapped his foot on the gym floor and another portal appeared under him and he was gone along with Kelly. "NO! GET BACK HERE YOU COWARD! YOU! You! Y-" Scarlet screamed as she banged at the floor and started to cry. I walked over there, staying in my werewolf form so that I could carry Scarlet. I picked her up and plopped her on my back and started to walk out of the gym. Everyone in the crowd was whispering and laughing and all I had to do was look at them and they all fell silent and spread out. As I carried Scarlet out, I heard her whimper "I-*hic* I'm sorry. I don't know what I did. P-please. I already lost Delilah, I-I *hic* don't want to lose you too-"
