chapter 31- A new flower blooms

The agreed date was Thursday, that was the day we were all going to go to the spring festival. Milinda and Addison would go on their date and me and Scarlet would go to not only watch the date but just have fun. I knew that Scarlet was going to wear a leather jacket with a black skirt, combat boots, and all of that. I just didn't know what I was going to wear, all my closet was baggy jeans and hoodies. So, I did what I always do when I don't know what to do and asked Scarlet what I should wear. "Oh yea I can help with that! I just need to take a look at that closet of yours." Once we got to my room and looked at my closet she nodded her head and said "Alright, alright, hey Zena which one of these hoodies do you hate the most?"

"The white champion hoodie, it has a weird texture and always gets stuck on my nails whenever I get done clipping them." Scarlet grabbed the hoodie and said "Alright gimmie and hour and I'll have something ready!" She then went to her room, and since I was pretty hungry, I just went to get a snack and watch YouTube for a bit. After an hour and a bit, Scarlet came back and said "Alright! I turned the hoodie into a skirt so you can wear it with this and this underneath." As she finished she threw some clothes at me. "I'll get ready and once you're ready you can come to me." and as she said that she went back into her room.

I had gotten the clothes on and for the first time in a bit, I actually looked decent! It was a white skirt with a light blue shirt, almost the same color as my hair, and a white collared shirt under that. I stepped out of my room and Scarlet was there waiting for me. She was wearing a red and black plaid skirt with a black long sleeved crop top. She was also wearing her signature combat boots and fishnets. "Oh my god you look amazing Zena!" Scarlet exclaimed as I entered the room. "Hehe thanks! This is like the first time in a while I've actually looked like a decent man." I responded. Scarlet was looking me up and down and said, "somethings missing" and as she did it looked like something clicked in her brain and she dashed to her room. She came back with a bunch of hair things, curling iron, and brushes. "Alright sit-down bestie I'm doing your hair!" After a few minutes filled with "My god your hair is thick" and "Why is it so TANGLED!" Scarlet was finally done and told me I could look in the mirror. I got up and looked and somehow Scarlet was able to tame the creature that is my hair. It looked fluffy, but not staticky. She had also put a white headband on my head and as I looked at it, I noticed something. "Oh, by the way, I noticed that brown hair is coming from your roots. I think it's because you're finally making your 'werewolf' your own creature, so you're becoming more of your old self!" Scarlet said as I looked at my roots that, in fact, did grow out more, it was brown instead of blue. "Huh, cool... Anyways, are you ready to go?" I asked "Yep!"

As we walked out of the castle and followed the path to the town through the woods I looked around. I was looking for any sign of that weird deer I saw that one time. "Hey Scarlet"             "Yea what's up?" She responded "Your half angel right?" I asked, "Yep, half angel half demon; mom's a demon, dad's an angel." She answered "Right right, so would you know anything about ,like, a nature or deer god?" Scarlet thought for a moment and then finally said "I think I do. You see there were 3 main gods in charge after the 'war of the world'. The war left the world in shambles with the only humans remaining being dead or traumatized. Even the 2 main gods were terribly injured after the war, so they had to get someone else in charge." Scarlet went on "God had picked a throne angel to be the new head of heaven, Nox, the demon of misfortune, was chosen to rule hell by Satan, and both of them were suggested by the god of life known as Willow." Scarlet said as we continued to walk. "Yea I know that we learned that a long while ago, like what are the signs that one of them are present?" I asked again "Hmm, I need to think about that. Signs of Gnosis are diamonds, a lot of them, and a unicorn disguised as a white mane. Nox is like a black cat crossing your path and glass shattering when you pass by it. Even though it is rare, this means that a certain god is watching over you." I waited a bit then finally asked, "What about Willow?" Scarlet thought for a moment then answered "I'm pretty sure her signs are, a deer approaching you, and gifting you a flower. A very sturdy flower that can't die unless there's godly intervention to be precise. She doesn't really watch over people unless she wants to bless them, or she simply relates to them."

We finally arrived at the town and, even though it was sunset, the fair was already busy and filled with joy and excitement. There were so many colors, lights and sounds I was never able to experience before. I stood there for so long in awe of the whole thing Scarlet had to snap me out of my trance. "Yo Zena we still have to find Milinda, get out of lala land!" She said snickering. We started to walk around to find Milinda or Addison and Scarlet started a conversation "Oh! Something I learned from my dad is that Willow isn't just some, one off god, she actually has her own domain like Nox and Gnosis! It's called 'field of life' I think and it's a big field and in the middle is a garden with a bunch of flowers, each one of them representing a person. Once a person dies the flower dies as well, and has to be pulled from the garden before it hurts more flowers and causes more people to die." As she was talking she was walking backwards and somehow didn't knock into anybody. "Zena! Scarlet! Over here!" I heard from the crowd. I looked around and there was Milinda and Addison standing next to one of the shops. "Hello" Addison said softly "Me and Addison are gonna go do our own thing, I'll text one of you if I need anything." Milinda said, smiling like a kid on Christmas. "You can just call me Addy, Addison's just a mouthful." Addy said awkwardly laughing "Eh you're right, Addy. Oo OOOo! Let's go get cotton candy!" Milinda said, dragging Addy along. Scarlet put her hands on her hips and said "Well then, don't think we need to 3rd or 4th wheel those to love birds. Last time I checked you've never been to this festival, have you?" I looked around at all the rollercoasters, funhouses, and food stalls. "Nope, I've only seen the colors and lights through the window of the cafe every year. Sai said I would get overstimulated and transform in front of everyone, but now-" I spun around and made it so I had just a tail, and ears and said "But now I can control it, and also have you! So, let's go have fun!"
