Morning,
Living room...

Third Person's POV

(Y/n) was humming a song while observing the popcorn she was making. Sumire and Manjiro were left alone in the living room as (Y/n) wanted them to "bond properly" and "catch up" with each other.

Little did she knew, these two had reunited more than two years ago. Way before she regained her consciousness.

Except that Sumire didn't recognize Manjiro but Manjiro recognized her.

Sumire was fidgeting, feeling awkward to have the boss of Bonten sitting next to her in her penthouse.

How could she stop herself from feeling awkward? They were literally partners when it came to crime such as assassination, drug cartel and every crime existed.

Sumire was also Bonten's biggest sponsor.

"I'm sure you have received update from my underlings regarding the assassination you assigned us to implement." Manjiro suddenly spoke up. Sumire, curious, took out her phone. A notification popped up.

It was from Haruchiyo. Only a single word was written in the text bubble.

"Done."

An attachment was also delivered to Sumire by Haruchiyo. Tapping on it, she calmly stared at a gory picture...of the man she wanted to get rid of.

Her client who broke the contract Sumire and him made.

"...well... Thank you, I guess." Sumire spoke up after long moment of silence.

"...."

"...."

"How could I have known you were that Manjiro."

"Next time, remember my face properly."

"I couldn't, could I? I stopped meeting you after-"

"My brother's death. I know."

The heavy topic wasn't the best thing to discuss. It only brought more pressure and tension between Sumire and Manjiro.

Sumire hugged herself, rubbing her upper arms awkwardly. Her mind was filled with Shinichiro's face. Regret instantly panged her heart when she remembered him.

"...how did you find my sister?"

"At our secret spot. I'm not sharing the details with you."

"Why? I'm her sister. I have the right to know."

"...you are still referring yourself as her "sister", huh?"

Sumire fell into deep silence when Manjiro mentioned that topic. She looked away, clenching her jaw in frustration.

Manjiro knew a secret Sumire wished to hide from (Y/n). For eternity.

That was why she became anxious when she saw Manjiro.
