Somewhere in Japan
Morning...

Second Person's POV

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Wake up!"

You heard a voice calling out your name. You drowsily parted open your eyes. You stared at the ceiling blankly, not making a move on your bed.

' Where am I? Is this some kind of dream?' You wondered.

The door of your bedroom was suddenly slammed open, revealing a figure of an older woman. She looked displeased with your tardiness. "Honey, how long are you gonna stay in bed? You have plans with your friends today!"

Sumire's voice erupted in your bedroom. Hearing that, you shot up on your bed in pure shock. Your gaze fixed on your sis-- no, mother. She shook her head in defeat. "Finally, you are awake. Hurry up and clean yourself. You must be ready in an hour." Sumire instructed. She walked into your room, picking up some clothes that were scattering on the floor. "Oh, dear. Look at all this mess."

You kept staring at Sumire. The thought of figuring out the truth crossed your mind. You pinched your cheek hard which resulted in you gasping in pain. Hearing that, Sumire turned to you. She was horrified to see your reddened cheek. "(Y/n)! Are you okay?" She asked after sitting on your bed to check your condition. She cupped your cheeks.

' I was sure I was dead. I stabbed my heart...and fell off of the balcony. Sumire had passed away too... So what in the world is happening...?!'

Realization hit your mind when you felt warmth radiating from Sumire's palms. You slowly darted your eyes back to Sumire. She stared at you questionably...while tears pooled in your eyes.

' This isn't a dream. This is not a hallucination. This is...real.' You clutched the collar of your pajama. Some memories you had never seen before flooded your mind. They were your memories.

Without warning, you surged forward and wrapped your arms around Sumire. You wailed loudly as you hugged her. In confusion, Sumire worriedly hugged you back. "(Y/n), what's the matter? Did you have a nightmare?"

"....Mama..." You sobbed. That calling came out as a surprise for Sumire. She became emotional and embraced you affectionately. "You call me that at last.." she was touched by the way you referred her as your mother. Sumire had been patiently waiting for this day. The day you finally viewed her as your mother.

In your current memories, you witnessed a vision of Sumire telling you the truth about her real relationship with you. But it took you a long time to accept this reality. Today, you didn't want to hesitate anymore. You had always viewed Sumire as your mother figure. You were glad she was your mother for real.

Untangling yourself from her, Sumire wiped away your tears. She smiled softly at you. "Now , now. Don't cry, sweetie. He won't be happy if he sees your eyes swollen very early in the morning.." Sumire got off of the bed. You spaced out for a moment before something popped up in your mind. "Wait, what do you mean by "he"—"

Unfortunately, you didn't make it in time to finish your sentence. A fluffy creature suddenly ran into your room and jumped onto your bed. Crookshanks fondly purred at you whilst nuzzling his head on your tummy. "Meow~"

"Shanky...!!" You once again cried and tears trickled down your face. You hugged your fluffy kitty to your heart content. "I miss you!" Your strangled sobs echoed in the room. Sumire, although in bewilderment, didn't question your action. She simply patted your shoulder.

"Come on, now. Go take a bath. I will be in the kitchen preparing breakfast for us."

You nodded your head understandingly. Sumire smiled , proud of you. You gave Crookshanks back to his rightful owner before the two left your bedroom. You stretched out your arms, lessening the stiffness in your muscles.
