Second Person's POV
"Pah-chin!"
"(Y/N)!!!"
Haruki hugged you tightly, tears of joy trickled down his face. He was over the moon after receiving news of your return. Unfortunately, he didn't have time to meet you due to his lack of free time.
"You are awake for real! I'm happy to have you back!" The real estate business owner sobbed. You simply patted his broad back, chuckling in delightfulness. At last, you managed to greet all of your childhood friends.
"I'm happy to meet you again too." You remarked, gladness ringing in your voice.
Kazutora and Chifuyu walked in. Kazutora couldn't help but laughed softly at Haruki's tendency to cry when he became emotional.
"Come and have a sit! Let me treat you to ramen today! Smiley, serve us your finest ramen!" Haruki ordered the meal in your stead. You were about to protest but didn't make it in time. You sighed, smiling appreciatively at Haruki.
You sat between Haruki and Ken. Humming a song as you waited for Nahoya to finish making your order.
"What's up with the scarf, (Y/n)? You cold?" Haruki pointed out the (f/c) scarf you were wearing. You calmly spoke up, "Nothing. Just feeling a bit chilly today. I thought this could keep me warm a little."
"Feeling chilly? Are you sure it isn't fever symptoms?" Takashi asked worriedly.
"Yeah, (Y/n). Have you been feeling sick lately?" Ken clamped his palm on your forehead to test your temperature. It was normal, thankfully.
"Nope. I'm in good shape. Ask Tora-chan and Chifuyu-kun." You called the other two pet shop workers, wanting them to prove your point.
"(Y/n) only started wearing scarf today." Chifuyu stated. His eyes fixed on the scarf you wore. He wouldn't lie. He was curious of your reasons but didn't have the heart to ask.
"Don't worry. She is the most energetic among us. Literally took care of most of the work at the pet shop whenever she could." Kazutora told the story jovially.
"Oh, you are a reliable worker now, huh. Good for you to have a great employee like (Y/n), Chifuyu." Haruki grinned at the black-haired cat lover. Chifuyu nodded, agreeing with him.
You became a bit embarrassed to be showered with the praises. You hung your head low, gazing at the floor anxiously. ' Glad they don't ask more questions. I would be driven crazy to come up with more lies.'
When the thought of you lying came up to your mind, you resulted to silence. Your heart ached. You despised liars yet here you were, slowly turning into one.
You had been lying to your friends a lot lately. Uneasiness struck you when you remembered this.
"Ah, your ramen is here, (Y/n)." Takashi looked at Nahoya who was putting down a bowl of ramen in front of you. You inhaled the scent and instantly, your stomach growled.
