Saki is an excellent fighter; Michiko is an amazing strategist so what does that make Emiko? She sighed heavily, taking another bite of her lunch, Senku watching on in worry. "Something on your mind?" He poked her head with his chopsticks. "Is it because Saki and Michiko aren't here?"

Emiko shook her head. Her reasoning for feeling blue would seem silly to a genius like Senku. Sure, she's Sailor Moon but what qualified her for the role? According to Nasa it was her determination to protect the people she loves but to Emiko, there was more to being a Sailor Guardian then just determination. She placed her chopsticks down, moving her hand to over her chest, just where her heart is. In her last battle she needed saving by the other girls, that's not a guardian. A guardian can stand on her own. Senku placed his lunch box down and grabbed hold of Emiko's wrist. "Are you nervous about the sister programme?" He asked.

"Sister programme?" Saki piped up, appearing alongside Michiko.

Michiko snapped her fingers, "You're doing that thing where you mentor a middle schooler?"

"Yeah," Emiko said, her tone emanating sadness, causing Saki to worry. "But I'm not worried about it. Actually, I'm kind of looking forward to it."

Saki zoned out the others as they continued to talk. Emiko was in another one of those moods. A mood she had seen many a times before but thought Emiko had finally gotten over them. She sighed, trying to ignore the feeling and sat beside Emiko, putting on a smile and pestering her for some of her lunch. Emiko gave a sad smile, holding out an octopus shaped sausage for Saki to munch on.

The bell rang and Emiko and Michiko gathered their belongings to return back to class, however as Saki went to join them Senku stopped her. She yelled for Emiko to carry on without her as she stared down Senku. "You're not confessing to me, are you?" She chuckled, Senku cringing of the thought. "Don't you want to be in class?"

"Class can wait," He replied. He held his hand up to his chest and saw Saki had realised what he was going to ask. "A couple of times, Emiko has done this, why?"

Biting her lip, Saki so desperately wants to talk about it but it wasn't her place. Then again, telling Senku will help him understand Emiko more and he's been clearly watching her, taking notice of her little habits. "Since she was small," Senku's eyes opened, surprised Saki would agree to tell him. "Emiko had a heart defect. She would be in and out of hospital for weekends at a time." Taking a sharp breath, Saki started to cry. "I nearly lost her. I nearly lost my best friend but one day, she recovered out of nowhere." A medical phenomenon? "Since then, she's been worried about not being as good as everyone else."

"Because she's already missed out so much?"

Saki nodded. "She's scared if it comes back, it'll hold her back. So that's why I will do anything I can for her." That explained why Saki came to find me. Saki continued, trying to wipe her tears away. "If anyone hurts her, I'll kill them. A miracle kept her with me and I'm never going to let her go again." Senku walked to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. Saki snapped, slapping his hand away. "That goes for you too," She warned, her tears drying up quickly. "I won't hesitate to hurt you."

"I'll remember that," Senku assured with a smile. He thought back to the first smile Emiko had given him. "And don't worry. I never want to see her smile fade."

Emiko sat in the school office, eagerly awaiting the middle schooler she would be mentoring. Some students had dubbed the programme the 'Big Sister' programme due to only females having signed up so far, though Emiko wasn't aware of who the other students were. "Woah!" Emiko jumped as green eyes stared into her own. She moved back slightly, getting a full view of the girl before her. Long ginger hair that fell to her lower back and a kind smile that complimented her look of excitement. "Your hair is so pretty!"
