In his fit of rage, Arata continued to smash various beakers, releasing his aura, the angry slamming open doors and breaking drawers off the hinges. From the window, Masakuni watched, the scene being one that he had been apart off before. He forcedly pushed himself off the window ledge, grabbing hold of Arata's arms and holding them behind his back. Arata growled, struggling to get himself free. The energy he had exhausted in his fit of rage, leaving him physically weak. "Let go of me you pathetic human!" He ordered. Masakuni sighed, dropping Arata's arms, Arata's form failing him and falling to his knees, panting heavily. "Those blasted guardians! They keep destroying our precious monsters and my energy is failing."

"I will provide you with energy this evening," Masakuni said regrettably. "After I have done what I've needed to do, you can do that feasting thing."

Arata laughed, how weak he was, depending on one sole human for his energy. Though, with this human's desires so great, he could continue to use him. "Remind me," He smirked, learning back to look at Masakuni from an upside-down view. "To what distraction has whisked you away this time."

"An anniversary."

Emiko sat on the hospital bed, her legs dangling off the side as the nurse continued to take her blood pressures. Another month, another routine check-up. This hospital was becoming like a second home to her, thinking that between the hospital and school, she wasn't sure how often she had seen her own bed anymore. Thankfully the check ups had gone from once a week to once a month, which eased her schedule and had become less stressful. The nurse smiled, taking note of the numbers, pleased to see the positive readings. "You're doing very well these days," The nurse giggled.

"Thank you miss Kita," Emiko smiled rolling her sleeve down.

"Please call me Kita," Kita said sternly, tapping Emiko's head with her pen. "I've looked after you since you were eight, I thought you knew you could relax with me now."

Emiko laughed; Kita had been her nurse ever since her operation as a child. Kita was a part of the prep team and when they noticed her condition had suddenly healed itself, Kita insisted on continuing to care for Emiko. Thinking back to the night before, when her older brother was unable to sit by her side, Kita sat on the bed with her, the light dimmed down and voices a whisper as not to disturb the other children, as Kita read the stories from the Silver Millennium. "I'm sorry Kita," Emiko smiled.

Kita leant forward, moving a bang from Emiko's eyes. The same eyes of the young girl she met all those years ago but now maturing into a wonderful young woman. "Tell me," She smirked. "How are things for you?"

Emiko blushed, thinking back to her recent adventures and her new friends. "I've made a few new friends," The blush on Emiko's face told Kita that one friend in particular must be of the romantic kind. "I even have a school sister now."

"How exciting," Kita laughed. "And with these numbers, they are certainly keeping you active. Whatever is happening in your life, is certainly a positive impact on you."

Emiko nodded, holding her chest. She had truly been blessed these past few months.

Walking down the street, a bag in hand as the sun beat down on Masakuni's skin. Though today was not one he typically remembered in a pleasant way, the weather certainly made it a more enjoyable day. A sunny day like this, with the gentle breeze, it was one you would certainly enjoy, Masakuni thought to himself.

Masakuni soon found himself at the entrance of the cemetery, looking over, he greeted the keeper with wave, who returned the gesture. He had a small smile of his face, though his heart was heavy as he walked to the familiar spot. He took note of the fresh flowers from recent visitors. A day like this, makes sense for people to want to share a beautiful day with the people they love. He reached the top of the hill, looking to see the grave marked 'Tanaka'. He knelt down, pulling two drinks from his bag, opening one and placing it on the grave before him and opened one for himself. "Well Hiroshi," He clinked the glass bottles together. "Here we are again, my partner. Another year but it never gets easier. I miss you, my friend."
