~Recap~

It's called jealousy, Stella. our jealous of her because he is with her here and not you.

My little voice told me. Sadly, this time it was right...

When I knew Conner wasn't looking I quickly ran out the doors and waved at my coworker that started the next shift. I pulled a beenie that I had got a few weeks ago that I put in the drawer under the cash register out of my pocket. Pulling the hair band out of my hair, I pulled the beenie on. I walked quickly to the escalator and was in to much of a hurry to wait on it to slowly bring me to the firs floor, so I walked down it.

I took my phon out of my pocket and checked for messages. The four I had from Conner earlier and a new one from him as well.

Conner: Hey. I thought I saw you at the Hot Topic at the mall. Is that where you work or were you just there?

My little voice started talking to me again. You can't be mad at him for taking a hint, Stella. You did tell him to leave you alone.

I tried to shut her up. I couldn't. She continued to nag at me about Conner leaving me alone at my own request. I decided it would be best if I did text him back because as many times as I didn't want to listen to the voice, it was right. Again.

Me: Hey. Yeah. I just finished my shift. I open every morning. I seen you were there too...I would have said something but you were with someone, I didn't want to interupt.

I waited a few minutes at the Starbucks in the mall. I evetually got a white chocolate mocha and a cheese danish for lunch. Then my phone went off.

Conner: You mean Stefany? That's one of the cheerleaders from one of the schools in Chicago. She ran into me and asked if I could help find her brother a band shirt for his bday.

Me: Oh...Well that was nice of you...

I sighed, relieved that he wasn't on a date with 'Stefany'. Opening my car door, I sat down and in front of the steering wheel. I waited on another text message from Conner. It took a few seconds but then my phone rang.

"In the end
As you fade into the night"

In The End by Black Veil Brides boomed through my phone's speaker.

"Who will tell the story
The story of your life."

I picked it up and Conner's face flashed across the screen. I hit the green button and held the phone to my ear.

"Hey," Conner's voice came over the speaker.

"Umm...Hi." I answered.

"So...You work at the mall. Are you still here?

"I'm in the parking lot."
