~Recap~
You love him.
My voice told me.
And he loves you. I just hope this time it isn't an act.
(AN: Hiya!!! this chapter might be a little short or boring or both. How knows, maybe it will be good... The quote above might be in the chapter but I don't know.)
+++++++++++++++++++++Conner drove me to school today. The cheerleaders all glared at me as I walked into the school holding Conner's hand. He walked me to first period class even though I insisted that he should go to class. My teacher gave Conner the same look of confusion the rest of the football team had been giving him all morning when he kissed me on the cheek at the door.
I was back in my black jacket and vans that Conner thought suited me more than the converse I was wearing Sunday. Everything went on like that for the rest of the morning. He walked me to every class and ever teacher gave him a look that said "Why are you with her? Why aren't you hanging around the normal people?"
He didn't pay attention though. And if he was I didn't notce.
After fifth period he walked with me to lunch. When we turned a corner one of the football players was standing there waiting for someone. He turned to Conner and stopped him when we got close. "What the hell are you doing?" the guy asked Conner.
"I'm walking to lunch, Walker, and you're in my way."
"That's not what I meant and you know it. Why are you hanging around this freak? Kallie told me that she saw you two at the cafe Sunday morning."
I felt Conner's hand tense in mine. "If you have a problem with Stella then say it."
"Fine. I'd rather you left this freak in the dust. All she is going to do is ruin everything that you- no, the team- has worked for. As far as I know she isn't even that good in bed."
Conner now had a death grip on my hand. "Move Walker." he commanded. Walker stood his ground. I couldn't take this any longer. "Conner, let's go. We don't have time for this." I tugged on his hand and started walking towards the cafeteria. "Yeah. Let the freak tell you what to do." Conner stopped walking and I saw his hand slowly turn into a fist. "Conner no." I tried to stop him but his fist collided with Walker's jaw.
Walker threw a punch that Conner dodged and I tried to stop them once again. "Conner please!!!! Stop!!!!" I yelled. He looked at me giving Walker a perfect shot as his cheek. Conner fell and I ran in front of him before Walker could begin kicking him. "Walker stop!!!! Stop right now or the entire cheer team will know who you really are!!!!"
That made him quit. He looked at me angerily. "You wouldn't," he growled. I nodded. "My own personal pay back for what you did to me." He took a deep breath and stepped back. Conner was slowly standing up behind me. "Go," I commanded. He turned and ran down the hall. I turned around and looked at Conner. His lip was bleeding and a bruise was already forming on his cheek. "Let's go to the bathroom and clean the blood off your face." I found a bathroom around the corner and took my key out of my back pack. I locked the door to the girls bathroom I had forced Conner into and helped him clean his face.
"Did you still want to go get lunch?" I asked.
"Not unless you want to."
I checked the time on my phone. Lunch hour was almost over. "I don't see why we would. You would be able to get your food and sit down then the bell would ring."
