The fall and the rise from a star of our time
Demi Lovato, one of the best singers of our time is back in business with her new album and her Documentary in which her life story is told, from her beginnings as a little child.
Demi Lovato was always a special person. Especially when it comes to her sense of humor and her laugh. All over that, there is her voice. Probably the most beautiful voice you'll ever hear. You can go so far to say, she's one of the best singers of all time. But she doesn't have it always easy. Some things in her life were hard. One major problem was the thing with her biological father. A man with a big heart and a huge addiction to drugs and alcohol. When he was sober, he was one of the kindest persons, who loved his kids and his wife. But when there was drinking and using involved, he gets out of mind. Sometimes he tells his family he had cancer or will die tomorrow. One day he left, and her parents get divorced. On one side Demi was facilitated, that the whole drama was over, but on the other side, she missed her father. She had a lot from him. Her smile. Her chin. Her eyes. Her hair. And one thing she wished, she doesn't have from him, but that she would notice at a later point in her life. The time after the divorce her big sister Dallas and her mother Dianna grew so much together, they were such a good team. They called themselves the "3D's". One year later her mom married another man, named Eddie. He was such a sweet person and loved Demi and Dallas like they were his kids. Dallas and Demi began to compete in beauty contests. At that time Demi got into music and singing. Both sisters did pretty well at the contests. Demi's mom and stepdad were pretty proud of their two girls. Then Demi began to start modeling, by just taking photos for herself. Then looking for bigger jobs. For a long time, they get just negative replies. They were also looking for a talent agency. When she was five, she went to a casting for that Disney Tv-Show called "Barney and his friends" but doesn't get the role, because she couldn't read at this time. But two years later she went again to that casting and she got the role of "Angela". She played that role for 2 years. On the set, she meets Selena Gomes, who was a good friend of hers for a long time, at least they were teenagers. After that she took singing, acting, and instrument classes to get more into acting jobs. At the age of 14, she got another role for a Disney Show. There she worked with the Jonas Brothers. Which was a pretty important connection with the three brothers and their management, for her life and her career. After that, she got booked at Camp Rock, which was, on one hand, the beginning of her successful career, but on the other hand, it was the beginning of her diseases or better know of her addiction. On the same day she auditioned for Camp Rock, she also went to another Disney Casting for Sonny. She got both parts. Well, what would you expect from a young girl, who is such a perfectionist and made herself under such pressure, to be good enough for her acting, her singing and having the perfect body and doing a full-time job as an actor and doing school stuff...? Well after she shoot Camp Rock, she got under contract by the Jonas Records. The movie was a huge success worldwide. After that, she went on tour with the Jonas Brothers. On that tour, something happened to her, that made her start consuming drugs for the first time. She got angry out of nowhere. She was depressed. She slept like 18 hours a day. After her managers confronted her, about why she takes drugs and where she got them. She found out, one of her background dancers and good friend betrayed her. That made her so angry, that she punched her in the face in the middle of an airplane. Then her team and her family gave her an ultimatum to go to rehab. She took that opportunity and went to a clinic. After that, she was diagnosed bipolar. After her treatment, she got together with Wilmer Valderrama. A 30-year-old guy, which helped her in so many ways to become and stay sober. But after their split after 6 years Demi was heartbroken. No, because Wilmer broke her heart or so, no they are still friends today, but she had trouble with being alone, after a 6-year long relationship. She was now 24 and was now dealing with another disease, an eating disorder. In the meantime, her success gets even bigger, she went on a lot of tours made a few albums. But one of the worst years of her life ever was probably 2018. She came back from her big tour Tell me you love me. She played a concert in Brooklyn. On stage, she gets surprised by DJ Khaled and Kehlani. They congratulated her for being 6 years sober. You could see that pain in her face, even when she was hiding it pretty well. What no one of her fans or family knew at that time, was that she began drinking on tour again. Then it came her documentary "Simply Complicated" out, in which she described her journey since she got into the business. All of her trouble with getting and staying sober. Well, everyone thought that was it now, she is over the hill, she can control herself. But little do anyone know what happened on the night of the 23rd of July. Everything was normal. Demi went out with some friends for celebrating a friend's birthday. After clubbing, they all went back to Demi's house and partied a bit more. At midnight all of her friends went home, although she begged one friend to stay with her and to have a sleepover, she had to go home. Well from there it's all speculation what happened then. Everything we know for sure is that Demi called one of her ex-dealers, who brought her some drugs and stayed the night over. He left the house in the early morning hours, which we saw on the security tap. Her assistant came in the morning to her house to help her to get ready for today. She went upstairs to her bedroom, knocked on the door, and went down to the kitchen. After a few minutes without a move or reaction, her assistant Jordan went upstairs again and knocked again. Still no answer. So, she opened Demi's door. The room was completely dark and cold. She went across the room to Demi's bed and tried to shake awake. But she was blue all over her body and doesn't move. Her assistant knows, at first sight, something was wrong. She immediately called her security guard, which told her to check if she was still breathing, which she does. At that time there were a few other teammates arrived at her house, and also came to her bedroom. Jordan went downstairs and called 991, even though she could get in trouble for doing that. After 15 minutes the ambulance showed up at her house and started to initiate life-prolonging measures. She was brought to the hospital. Her family members were informed to come to the hospital. The press was immediately informed over the news, that Pop-Star Demi Lovato was brought to the hospital because of overdossing. The whole internet was full of prayings and well wishes. Everyone was afraid that another talented young artist goes to the 27's club. Thank God Demi Lovato made it through that and is now on her healing process. Two years later we can say, she is better than ever. Last week, she dropped her new album and her new documentary "Dancing with the devil". In which she explained, what happened that night. She said she called her drug dealer to order her drugs, which she was used to, but he hasn't that one, unfortunately, he offered her heroin and cocaine, which she always wanted to try. He came over and she consumed it. In the hospital a few days later she had flashbacks from that night, where her dealer was on her and raped her. What has added to the overdoses was another shock. Her doctors said she had that night 3 strokes and a heart attack. When her assistant had found her like 5 – 10 minutes later, she would have died. She describes that she does have problems with her sight because of the night and brain damage. But after all, she said she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream to perform the national anthem on the superball, which she did with an amazing performance. And on top of that, she sang at the Grammy awards one of the most emotional performances ever on national TV. What a woman. She went through so much but got to the top again.
