The last few days were a bit stressful for me. I had a lot of work to do. Today I finished my article about this Popstar, who overdosed two years ago. I wasn't amazed about writing that article, because I want to do real journalism and not such gossip about a singer. Well, I'm just 23-year-old, but I made it already to one of the biggest magazines in the US. The TIME Magazine. Well since we have a lot of new younger readers, we have a new category "Today's stars". A weekly column, which trades over famous persons, who have been through a lot. Last week I wrote an article about Britney Spear and her newest scandals. I'm the youngest in my department. With me are 3 of the oldest journalists, who are about to retire, so our boss thought it would be cool if we four would do that. Well, I like my collages, but they are useless with that kind of topic. They don't know how to use social media or what Twitter is. So, I do most of the work. I'm okay with it. When I write a really good article, maybe my boss notes, that I can write more than such gossip shit. When I handed my article to my boss, he reads it and said I gonna do that exclusive interview with her, too. That made my day. I thought I could go out with my friends on the weekend, but no I have to fight in Los Angeles, meet with that "Star", fly back to New York and write the next article. I'm pissed. My friends meant I should be lucky to meet such a legend like her. I don't like that kind of music from today. In that way, I'm really old school. To be honest, I haven't heard one of her songs, but for me, I was enough watching her documentary about herself. I booked a plane ticket for Friday morning, so I had one day in LA to settle down and consider which question I would like to ask. So, I went home to pack my stuff and went early to bed. My alarm went on at 5 am. I got up and take a shower. I got dressed and called an Uber to the airport. My flight went at 7 am so I landed with a little delay at 2 pm in LA. When I left the airport, it was pretty hot. At the hotel, I opened my laptop and wrote an Email to her management about checking the address and the meeting time. A little later I got a replay with an address in the studio city and a time that says 11 am. That was fine with me to get ready and drive to her house. Thankfully I made the most of my questions up in the plan. I hope that would make an interview for like an hour or so, that should be enough for my article. So, I got ready to go outside and do some sightseeing, since I'd never been to LA before. I planned to go first to the Santa Monica Pier and then grab something to eat. I was impressed by the ocean and all the people. I loved the vibe there. It's pretty different to New York. Especially the temperature difference. I walk a little bit on the beach and watch the sunset and made a couple of photos for my Instagram. I sat down for a while and put my air pods in. I search for some of those Demi Lovato songs and started the first one which showed up. It's called "Give your Heart a Break". Well, I liked the intro pretty much. Then she began to sing, and I have to admit that her voice is pretty good. I like the mood that I feel when I sat there and watched the sun slowly touching the ocean. When I search for I nice restaurant I must say it was a catchy record. I went to a small pizza shop and ordered a big slice of pepperoni pizza. I struck up a conversation with a young couple, who were very nice chatted a little bit and then they invited me to a little drink in a bar, not far from the restaurant. I thought it would be ok if I would drink one drink. So, I paid for my pizza, and we went to that bar, I was told about. After an hour I had already 3 beers, and the girl begged me to stay a little bit longer. So, I did. A couple of cocktails and shots later, it was like 2 in the morning. We exchanged numbers, so we can stay in contact. I called an uber and half an hour I was in my hotel room. I went straight to bed, without changing in Pj. The next morning, I woke up at 10 am. I had a bad headache and was hangover. I looked with a blurry sight on my phone. And saw it was already 10.15 am. I rushed into the bathroom. And took a quick shower. I steep with wet hair out of the shower and put on so fast as possibly my pink blazer and black jeans on, that I forgot to dry my hair. I called a taxi, that picked me up 5 minutes up. Meanwhile, it was already 10.45 am. I know it was a 30-minute ride from my hotel, so I was far too late. How professional of me... I hope my boss doesn't hear of that. When I came to her house I was already expected. A young woman stood outside and welcomed me. It was Demi's personal assistant Jordan. She looked a bit stressed. The house looks from the outside really pretty not too big and definitely not too small. Jordan said to me I have to hurry up and that Demi is already waiting in the living room. So, I hurried up.
