After the meeting with Demi, I was in such a weird mood. Kinda nervous and a bit excited. Before I got back to the hotel, I went a bit sightseeing and visited the Griffith Observatory. I took a couple of photos for my Insta account. Then I walked a bit around in the park, which is nearby. In the afternoon I got an Email from Jordan, with all the information for tonight, and my Ticket. Back in the hotel, I slept for 3 hours and then get ready for the concert. I put on black jeans, a white top with a leather jacket and black heels. A bit fancy and a little sexy outfit. Before I drove to the concert hall, I went to In-and-Out Burger and ate a burger with animal fries, which I loved. When I came to the concert hall, there was a big queue in front of the entrance. When it was my turn, the ticket dude scanned my ticket and gave me a backstage pass. I was impressed, that Demi gave me a backstage pass for her concert, even though I was kind of wicked to her. I got to my seat. I had a pretty good view of the stage. Every went black and the music started to play. Then there was a spot in the middle of the stage, where she stands. WoW. She looked breathtaking. And when she started to sing, I got goosebumps all over my body. Her voice... I can't even find words for it. Well, in the videos I watched, I know she could sing, but I was speechless. That song, I think it's called 'Anyone' I had tears in my eyes. That energy, those feelings. That atmosphere was amazing. The whole crowd was hyped. She played some of her new songs and some of her old ones, also the one I heard yesterday on the beach. When the concert came to an end, everyone screamed for an encore. She sang one more song and then went backstage. As the lights come on again. Jordan waits on the end of my seat-row. She waved at me, that I should come to her. She said, she had the order to bring me to Demi's changing room and I followed her. It took a bit to get us through the whole crowd. As we have arrived, Jordan knocked on the door, opened it, and let me in. At first, I thought no one was in the room, but then she stepped out of the bathroom. With just a bathrobe on.
* Demi's POV*
When I came out of my bathroom, she already stood there. With that sexy outfit. She looked stunning. Even better than this morning. She stared at me, with an open mouth. I grinned. "Sorry, I just took a short shower. I will change fast to something more appropriate than we can go and carry on the interview if you have more questions now." Before she could say anything, I went back into the bathroom and changed into white pants and a crop top with black heels. Quickly I fixed my makeup and went outside. She still stood there. I asked "Can we go?" – "Go? Where? "– "Well, I thought we could drive back to my house and sit down and chat if that's okay with you. My driver will bring you to your hotel afterward." She looked at me and smiled and nodded. When we entered the backdoor, there were paparazzi all over the place. I took her hand a pulled her towards my car, where my driver already opened the door for us. As the door closed, I let go of her hand. "Wow, that was intense! Is it always like that! I mean is there always so much paparazzi?" she said a little bit shocked. "Most of the time, yes. Especially at the moment, because of my release. That is the bad thing about being famous. You can't go anywhere without getting recognized or being followed by a huge crowd of older men with cameras." – "It's tough, isn't it? I think I couldn't do this. Can't go outside, without a bodyguard. And that since you're like 15 or so." – "Yes, as I said, that is the other side of the medal. But believe it or not, I like to stay at home and have a chill with friends or someone special. Maybe watching a crime investigation on TV or a new episode of the Bachelor." – "Okay, wow I didn't rate you like that at all." – "Most people rate me false. Hahaha." When we arrived home, I send my bodyguard home to his family. We unlooked my door, and let us in. My two puppies came towards me and welcomed me back home. "So, Miss Smith, let's go to the living room and have a sit there. Do you like to have something to drink? Water, Coke, Juice, Tea?" – "A water would be great, thanks. Oh, and you can call me Laura, by the way, otherwise, I feel so old..." – "Well, then you can call me Demi. And you still look very young! How old are you, may I ask?" – "Hahaha, thanks! Last month I turned 23." – "Well, now I am the old woman here, I'm already 28, almost 29!" I said with a little laugh. She laughed and said in a flirty way: "Oh come on, you old lady, look at you. No one would ever say you look older than... Idk ... 22!" Wow, she's such a cute girl. "So, could I change your opinion tonight? Did you enjoy my concert?" I gave her a bottle and sat down. "I have to admit, there is something in your voice, that is so special. Earlier today I said it's not my taste of music, but when you performed live on stage and heard your songs, it sound amazing. I think I will listen to them occasionally or add one or the other to my playlist." – "Oh, that's amazing, I'm glad you liked it! And thank you very much for that compliment. It means a lot to me!"
* Laura's POV *
Wow, that woman. How dumb was I, to think that just because someone acts a certain way in public, does the same in private? Before I got too flirty, I put my notes out. "Well Miss Lovato, I mean Demi, first I have to apologize for my questions and my comments earlier. At the moment I write a lot of gossip stuff in my columns. But I want to write something serious. Something that the world needs to know. One of the reasons, why I wanted to work at TIME magazine. To inform our readers about the real problems out there. Yesterday I was pissed, that I must sacrifice my weekend with a friend, to fly to LA and to have that interview with you. And please don't get me wrong, now I'm happy that we met. I know those questions are personal and I get that totally when you don't want to answer these. I just thought that could have been more useful for me to understand your point of view and maybe help others to improve in their lives. And no, you're not just a story for me." I looked at her with high expectations, but I couldn't see any reactions on her face. "Laura, it's impressive that you are so engrossed in your work at such a young age. It's also very honorable of you, to help other people with this, but you must understand that I'm not ready to talk about that night and why or what happened in that way it happened. I hope you understand that. For me, it was such a hard time to pick me up again to where I am now." I saw that there was still so much pain in her eyes when she said that. "Okay, I understand that. Then I will thank you for your time and the invitation to your concert. I'm glad to have met you. It was a pleasure." I smiled at her and stood up. She looked at me "It was nice meeting you too. But I thought, even when you don't have any other questions for your article, maybe we could hang out a little more. I liked your company. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more? :)"
