*POV Laura*

When we got up at the top, we were both out of breath. Before we knocked, we had to take a deep breath. Sam knocked and Auri opened the door. When she saw me, she hugged me immediately. "Oh Laura, I've missed you so much. These few weeks without you felt like half an eternity. Hanging out with Sam and Rose was great, but it was not the same as with you." As she was saying this, Rose appears behind her. "What I just heard. Sam and I are not enough for you?", she said laughing. Aurora let me go, she hugged Sam, and I hugged Rose. They let us into the apartment. We took off our jackets and walked down the hall towards the kitchen. When we reached the kitchen, a wonderful smell of fried potatoes and broccoli casserole hit our nostrils. It smelled so good that I was dizzy. Rose was the chef in one of the best restaurants in New York.

Rose pours us all a glass of red wine and we toast to a lovely evening. We chatted about all sorts of things until Rose served the food. It looked as good as it smelled. After taking a few bites, Auri couldn't help but ask questions about my London trip. "So, Laura, now tell me how it was in England. I'll bet you've seen and experienced a lot. From what I saw at the newspaper stand this morning, it must have been a couple of very nice weeks over there!" When she said she saw something at the newsstand, I stared in shock. Fuck, now I have to tell this about Demi too. What am I supposed to say about that anyway, I don't really know what I think about it myself... maybe she's just talking about the wedding. and didn't mean Demi and me at all. So, I'm just playing dumb. "Yes, I have to say, it was really cool. London alone as a city was so beautiful. The streets, the shops, and the people. And then there was the royal wedding. It was just indescribable. On the wedding day, there was so much everywhere The Brits are so infatuated with the royal family. I couldn't imagine anything like that happening here. Well maybe if Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber got married, it could be a similar big event!" I laughed. "That sounds really good. Unfortunately, when I was in London a few years ago, I didn't think it was that good... it rained all the time, but well, the city can't really do anything about it," said Sam and we laughed.

"Well, that sounds like a great time indeed! And did you meet someone you already knew?" Auri asked teasingly. "Now that you mention it, I met Troian Bellisario in front of the church. Last year I interviewed her. We even talked for a bit before she walked into the church with her husband. Her husband is one of the co-stars from Megan's Lawyer Series." - "Ah yes cool, but I was thinking of someone else," she said with a grin. Oh fuck, she knows. Of course, she recognized me from the magazines. But continued my strategy of just playing dumb. "Hmm, otherwise I don't think I saw anyone I knew." - "Oh, come on Laura! Spill the tea?" - "What a tee, I haven't seen anyone else!" I still tried to vehemently deny it. "Wait a moment!" she said, getting up from the table and heading towards the bedroom. "Come on Auri, does that have to be? Please let her. It's obvious that she doesn't want to tell just yet!" Rose called after her. Now it was clear that they knew. And she had apparently bought one of the proofs as well. "Can someone please explain to me what Auri meant? I don't understand anything anymore! What don't you want to tell us yet Laura?" Sam asked confused.

At that moment Auri came back with a stack of magazines and put them in the middle of the table between the plates and pots. I was horrified at how many magazines she had bought with me on the cover. Sam grabbed one and still looked confused. Apparently, he hadn't recognized me yet. "What the fuck Auri! Are you crazy? Why did you buy all of them?" - "Then you ask why? I have to collect these valuable treasures if you become famous now!" she said with a grin, and I just glared at her angrily. "Now can someone please enlighten me as to what this is all about? It's all Greek to me and I would really like to be able to follow the conversation!" Sam said energetically. "Our friend here apparently is now dating one of the biggest pop stars of our time. Plus, we're big fans of hers!" - "Wait, you're dating Demi Lovato?! Why didn't you tell us that? That's fantastic! Oh no, I see it for the first time, that's you on all the covers. Man am I blind?! Wait, was there something on when we were at their concert a few months ago?" Sam asked. "Who the heck told you we were dating? Yes, we met twice in London. What you see in the photos is just when she saved me from all the paparazzi," I said angrily. "But you think she's hot, don't you?" Sam mentioned. "Yeah of course...I still have who claims the opposite." - "So, nothing happened between you during the two meetings?", Auri asked curiously and raised an eyebrow examiningly. When I heard the question, I felt my face redden. I didn't say anything and looked down at my plate. "So, it's what happened between you guys. Have you slept together?" Auri asked. Oh, come on Aurora. That's not something you just ask!" Rose says, a little angrily. "Babe, can't I ask my best friend if she slept with Demi fucking Lovato?" Rose just rolls her eyes. "No, I didn't sleep with her. And if you knew me, you know very well that I wouldn't do something like that with someone right away. But we kissed. In a storage room in a museum. Yes, the kiss was really good, but we talked afterward and agreed that we'd just be friends and that it was best for us." As I said this, I saw the smile on Aurora's face disappear. "What do you mean by that you agreed to just stay friends?" - "Well, exactly what it means. That nothing more will happen between us." - "But why? Did she want that?" - "No, that was my suggestion and she accepted it." - "So, you really want to tell us now that you kissed in a super romantic storage room and you have no romantic feelings for her? Is it because you've never dated a woman? Because if that's the reason, Rose and I are happy to answer any questions!" - "First of all, why was the storage room supposed to be super romantic? I can't really tell if I have feelings for her. All I know is that the kiss was pretty good if not one of the best I've ever had. No, that wasn't my main reason. There are just a few things that I say don't work for me. And also, the thing with my job. That doesn't fit at all. How can I be a serious journalist when I'm hanging out with one of my interviewees and a celebrity like her." - "Laura, you're so stupid!" Sam said. "Yeah, Sam you're absolutely right. The way you're talking about the kiss, it must have been breathtaking. And using your stupid job as an excuse is really weak. At the end of the year, you will be transferred to a different department and you will no longer have anything to do with celebrities. Then no one will remember that you interviewed Demi a long time ago. And believe me, the fact that she's a woman makes things much easier. A relationship with a woman is so much nicer and easier than with a guy," Auri preached. "Well, I have to disagree with you on that last point, I've had completely different experiences there," laughed Sam. I just sat there and put up with all the talk about me.

"Laura doesn't listen to these two, they just talk shit. You should make a decision like this with your heart, not your head. Your job shouldn't matter, nor that she's a woman. It all depends on the people. How you feel when you're around her. How do you feel when you think about them? Do you miss her if you don't see each other all the time? Is she the first thing on your mind in the morning and the last thing on your mind before you go to sleep at night? Or is she really just like a friend to you, with whom you like to exchange ideas and with whom you can laugh about everything? If both apply, I will say you hit the jackpot. That's what makes a partner. He or she should be your best friend, but also the person you want to give your heart to. I know that sounds super cheesy, but that's the way it is. And before you make such a decision for both of you, you should be clear about your feelings. Both you and she owe it. Who knows, maybe she's the love of your life and you just don't know it yet," Rose said in a calm and wise voice. When she finished, everyone in the room was quiet. "Thank you, Rose! That was indeed very helpful. Love you!" I said gratefully. "Oh, baby. you are so wise What did I do to deserve you? I love you so much." Auri gave Rose a passionate kiss. The two were such a beautiful couple. I wanted something like that for myself too. Was Demi the woman by my side or someone completely different? I could do it at that point I honestly couldn't say. I wasn't too sure about my feelings either. With Rose talking, the subject was over. Rose served us another chocolate cake for dessert and then we had a glass or two of red wine. Before I decided to go home, I was still exhausted from jet lag.
