*POV Demi*

She whispered into my ear: "I'm happy seeing you again. I really missed our friendship!... Even though we haven't known each other that long, but it feels already like years."

I let her go and stepped back. I looked into her sparkle blue eyes. I almost got lost staring into her eyes. How much I would have given to kissing her now. But she just called us friends. And I think it would be really weird when I would kiss her right now. It would probably ruin everything. For a few seconds, my gaze wandered back and forth between her eyes and her lips. I had to concentrate and had to pull myself together. "Laura, you don't know how happy I am to finally see you again. Every day for the last 3 months I had to think about you. You were my motivation to get out of the treatment and get sober. Of course, I didn't do it just because of you, but you're the so speak cherry on top. Oh shit, that must have sounded cheesy." I giggled, and so did she. We sat down on the bench. She asked: "So tell me, how was the treatment, besides thinking of me?" She laughed. "Well, I have to say, it was one of the better treatments I have been through. The best thing was the horseback riding in the sunset. It was so beautiful. But also the conversations with the other participants. It really helped me. There were people of all ages. I made friends with that girl Debbie, she's a year younger than me, but has been through so much, like me. But enough from me, what I read you're here because of the big wedding? We could have gone together!" – "Oh, come on, I like to listen to you! You could all read what I did in the last few months! Hahaha, yeah but with the difference, that I wasn't invited and I had to work! xD" – "First of all you could have been my plus one, and second, I worked too. I sang at the dinner for the bridal couple. So you're not the only one, who was working there." – "How kind of yours, but then I had to wear one of those funny hats, like you. And I think I don't need that. Was that really work for you?" – " You didn't like my hat. I thought it look good on me. Yeah, your right, that didn't really work, because it is my passion.", I laughed. "Mm, not really. Sorry. But I think no one looks good with those hats, maybe except the queen. I totally see that singing is your passion. Whenever I saw you perform, there is a light in your eyes. That shines so brightly like the stars in the night sky. You put your whole heart and soul in your voice so that the whole room can feel it. That's impressive, just a few artists have that." – "Wow, thank you. That means a lot to me to hear that from you. Really thank you, Laura!", saying that I laid my head on her shoulder and she put her arm around my shoulders. Sitting there in the middle of London at night, with that beautiful girl by my side. I wasn't that happy in a long time. She began to fondle my arm and I just had the biggest smile on my face. – "You must be cold. Do you want my jacket?" – "Maybe a little bit. But I'm fine. Thanks!" – "No, you're not. I can literally see your goosebumps." She let go of my shoulder, stood up, take off her jacket, and put them around my shoulders. Immediately I got warm again.

"How about we go for a little walk?", she asked. "Yeah sure. I sat already the whole day." I stood up too. And we walked down the riverbank towards the tower bridge. For a while, we were silent. A good one. Not one of those weird ones. As we were on the bridge she asked, " Hey, how about I take a photo of you and the shard tower? Two impressive things in one picture would be great." – "For you, I would do nearly anything." – "Oh, don't say that sometime I will remind you of that. Okay, so how about you stand there and put your right leg a bit in front of the other one! Yeah like that. Perfect!" She took some photos from different angles and said, " I think, there should be one or two that look okay" – "Oh really, well I think there is something missing." I took her wrist and put her to my side, grabbed her phone, and put my arm around her. "3 impressive things are better than two!" We both smiled at the camera and I took some selfies. Then we made a few funny faces and at the end, I gave her a kiss on the cheek. That was my favorite one. I let go of her, gave her the phone back and we walked down the bridge. After a few minutes of walking she said, "Demi, I think I have to go back to my hotel. I have to get up early in the morning, so..." – " I understand, I will you walk there. Max can me pick me up from there." – " Great!" I send Max a short message and we walked a few more minutes until we got to her hotel. "So... were here."- "Yeah, thanks for the evening! It was the best I had in a long time!" – "You don't have to thank me. I have to apologize to you for earlier. I have to admit I was angry and disappointed... At you... I saw you at the wedding when you got out of the car and I saw you had read already read my texts, but I didn't have an answer from you. You didn't even glance down at the reporters. I thought again, you just were one of those celebrities, who doesn't keep her word. And when you send Max to bring me that small letter, with that short text I got angrier. So, I didn't want to see you." – "I knew, something was up. I'm sorry that I made you feel like that. When I got out of the car, I was in thoughts about being back in public and nervous about how my fans would react after being away for so long without a life sign, that I don't think that you could be there. If I have saw you, I think I wouldn't have gone in the chapel, instead, I would have spent the whole day with you." – "No, Demi. I should be the one, who's sorry. I should trust you. But that's one of the things I have to learn." I step forward to her and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "No one is perfect. But if we do our best, together we are pretty close to perfect." Saying that I saw her smile on her lips. I have to take my chance. So I leaned in and so does she. Our faces got closer and closer. When there was only 1 inch between us, we heard a honk and we sprang two steps apart from each other. I looked behind me and saw Max in the car. At that moment I could have punched him in the middle of the face, he ruined our kiss. "I should go to bed now.", she said. "Yeah sure. Max is also here. So.... I guess Good night then." She hugged me. "Good night! Sleep well!" she smiled, turned around, and went the stairs upside to the door. Before she entered, I called after her, " Don't forget to send me those pictures!" – " Yeah, I will!" and she got inside. I looked after her until she was in the elevator. Then I got in the car. "Max, you such an idiot. Again, you ruined our first kiss. Please can you stop that? Otherwise, I have to get a new bodyguard", I joked. "Well, I think you first have to find one, who is so good, and patient like me." He smiled. Then he drove off to our hotel.

In bed, I looked at my phone. I had 10 messages from her and 9 of them were the pictures we took. The other one says "The evening was amazing! Hope we can repeat that soon. How long are you staying in London? Good night!"

I immediately wrote "Pics looking amazing! Thank you! Well, as long as you stay! Maybe we could fly back together. Good night to you too!"

Before I fell asleep, I posted one of the photos, she took of me alone, on Instagram. 'Finally, back and better/ happier than ever!' I tagged her and gave her the credits on the photo. One of the others, where I gave her a kiss on the cheek, I set as my background wallpaper. Then I put my phone away and went to sleep.
