"Hey Kenma!" Yamamoto was back to his normal energetic self, and he had went to Kenma's desk as soon as class was over as usual.

"Hello, Yamamoto-kun." Kenma didn't bother to look up from the notebook he was sketching in.

"Oh, that looks cool!"

"Huh?"

"Your drawing!"

"Oh, um..." Kenma put his hand on the drawing, covering it up. "It's nothing."

"But it looked cool! Can I see it again?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"You two seem to be getting along today." The sound of Kuroo's voice finally made Kenma look up.

"Did you know Kenma was so good at drawing?" Yamamoto asked, attempting to move Kenma's hand off the drawing to let Kuroo see it.

"I've seen a lot of Kenma's drawings. He doesn't believe me when I tell him how talented he is."

"My drawings are awful." Kenma looked back down, swatting Yamamoto's hand away and closing the notebook.

"They're awesome, you're just too insecure to see it." Kuroo snatched the notebook from Kenma's hands.

Kenma quickly stood up, trying to get the book back, but Kuroo held it just out of his reach.

"Stop it, Kuro!"

Kuroo and Yamamoto both laughed, as Kenma stood on a chair to try to reach the book, however Kuroo stepped backwards once again just barely out of reach.

Once Kenma had begun to give up, Kuroo opened the book, immediately finding the page Kenma had been sketching on a few moments ago.

"Oh wow this is really good! You've been improving, Kenma."

Kenma looked down, feeling his face heating up. "It's not good."

Kuroo shut the book, handing it back to Kenma.

"We're gonna be late for practice. If you don't hurry up, I'll show the whole team some of your drawings." Kuroo said before walking towards the classroom door.

Kenma quickly put his notebook away and hurried to catch up to Kuroo, ignoring Yamamoto who was following behind him.

The three of them walked together through the halls. Kuroo and Yamamoto talked while Kenma just stayed quiet and listened. After stopping to change in the locker room, they arrived at the school gym.

"You ready, Kenma? This time we're actually going to practice." Kuroo said, looking down at Kenma who had his head down.

Kenma just stayed quiet, staring at his feet.

"Come on!" Yamamoto yelled excitedly, throwing the door open and running into the gym.

"Oh, hello Yamamoto, Kenma, and Kuroo." a shorter boy with short hair greeted them.

"Hey, Yaku." Kuroo responded, pushing Kenma into the gym.

"I'm assuming that since Yamamoto was with you, your apology worked?"

"Yeah."

Kenma finally went into the gym and sat down on a bench, pulling his phone out of his pocket.

"Kenma!" Kuroo shouted, not gaining any type of response. Kuroo walked over to Kenma, snatching his phone, and holding it above his head. "Practice started."

Kenma glared at Kuroo as he attempted to reach for the phone. "Give it back, Kuro."

"Oh I will."

"Now."

"After practice."

Kenma tried jumping to reach for the phone, failing as Kuroo moved it away from him. Kenma stood on his toes, reaching for the phone with one hand, holding on to Kuroo's jacket for balance with the other. Kuroo just smirked as Kenma stared at him, clearly angry.

"Give it back."

"I told you I will after practice."

"Will you two stop flirting and come practice?" Yaku shouted from across the gym, causing Kenma and Kuroo to both back away from each other and look down, both of their faces turning a bright red.

Kenma quickly walked away, picking up a volleyball and standing against the wall, still clearly embarrassed.

Kuroo watched him, putting Kenma's phone in his pocket before running over to Yaku.

"Really, Yaku?" Kuroo whisper-shouted.

Yaku just laughed in response, gaining a punch in the arm by Kuroo.

"I tell you I like him, and you try to make it obvious?"

"Awe, is Kuroo Tetsurou embarrassed?"

"I'm not!"

Yaku laughed one again, this time walking over to a volleyball and picking it up.

"How about we get Kenma to set to you. I wanna work on my receives." Yaku said, pointing in Kenma's direction.

"Fine."

"Hey Kenma! Come set to Kuroo for a bit!" Yaku then shouted, gaining Kenma's attention.

Kenma gave a slight nod before walking over to them. The three of them then spread out, each getting in position. Kenma glanced at Kuroo to see if he was ready before setting the ball he was holding.

Kuroo quickly ran up and jumped, slamming the ball down, Yaku just barely able to reach it before it hit the ground.

"That was perfect, Kenma!" Kuroo shouted in excitement. Kenma just nodded in response.

The three of them continued this, as if they were the only three in the gym. Each set was almost perfect, occasionally a few were missed. Yaku did his best to reach every ball, only missing a few as well.

This went on for almost two hours. Yaku and Kuroo finally grew tired. The three of them sat down against the wall.

"You're really good at setting, Kenma." Yaku said, sitting beside Kenma, catching his breath.

"Thanks."

"We've been playing since we were kids." Kuroo spoke up, sitting on the other side of Kenma.

"Really? How long have you guys known each other?"

"Since I was eight, Kenma was seven."

Kenma tilted his head back, resting it against the wall. "I probably never would've touched a volleyball if it wasn't for Kuro dragging me around and throwing a ball at my head."

"I only hit you in the head a few times and it was because you messed up your receives!"

Yaku tilted his head down, laughing. "Sounds like you two have always been close. I'm pretty sure Kuroo is the only one who could hit Kenma in the head and get away with it."

"I wouldn't say I get away with it. He punched me the last time I did that."

Kenma shut his eyes, still resting his head on the wall behind him. He smiled softly as he listened to Kuroo and Yaku talk. Kenma began to doze off. As he did, he felt something begin to weigh his shoulder down. He slowly opened his eyes, looking to see what it was. Blush spread across his face when his eyes met the messy black hair of his childhood friend.

"Kuro, what are you-"

"Shhh!" Yaku hushed him, immediately gaining Kenma's attention. "He fell asleep."

Kenma didn't say anything else, instead he just looked back over at Kuroo. A small smile formed across Kenma's face. He soon rested his head on Kuroo's, falling asleep almost immediately.
