"Hey! Practice is over, you two!"

Kuroo and Kenma both slowly opened their eyes to the sound of someone yelling.

"Yaku-senpai told me to wake you up!"

"Yamamoto-kun..." Kenma mumbled once he recognized the person.

"Oh so you're finally up?"

Kenma sat up straight, rubbing his eyes, Kuroo sitting up next to him.

"Did we really sleep through practice?" Kuroo asked.

"Only for the last half hour."

"Did everyone else go home?" Kenma asked, beginning to stand up.

"Yep! Yaku-senpai tried waking you two up, but neither of you would get up, so he asked me to do it since he had to go home."

"Don't you have to go home too?" Kenma asked.

"Nope. Well, yeah, but I still have time to kill. As long as I'm back before dinner, my parents don't care."

"Well we should get going, right Kenma?" Kuroo asked, standing up.

"Yeah. I wanna stop by the game store on the way home."

"What game are you trying to buy this time?"

"That new game I told you was coming out before."

"The fighting one?"

"Yeah."

"You guys walk home together?" Yamamoto cut in.

"Yeah, we're neighbors." Kuroo answered.

"Oh, can I walk with you!"

"No." Kenma answered quickly.

"Aw come on! Please, Kenma-kun?"

"No."

Yamamoto sighed, deciding not to anger Kenma. "So how long have you two known each other?"

"I moved here when I was eight." Kuroo spoke, resting his arm on Kenma's head, Kenma elbowing Kuroo's side in response. "Ow! Kenma, that hurt!"

"Good. Can we go now?"

"You know you could leave and I'll just catch up to you."

"You still have my phone."

"Oh, yeah." Kuroo quickly checked his pocket, making sure the phone was still there. Once he was sure it was there, he slid the phone back into his pocket.

"Give it back, Kuro."

"Nope! Let's go. See ya, Yamamoto!"

"Bye Kuroo-senpai, Kenma-kun!"

"Bye." Kenma spoke quietly, giving a small wave before turning to follow Kuroo.

The two of them walked quietly for a while. Kenma kept glancing at Kuroo, waiting to get his phone back.

"We're almost at the game store. Are you gonna have the money?" Kuroo broke the silence.

"Yeah, it's-" Kenma put his hand in his pocket, but couldn't find his wallet. "Damn it!"

"What did you do?"

"I forgot my wallet."

Kuroo sighed, reaching into his own pocket and pulling out his wallet. "I'll pay, but you owe me."

"I'll pay you back when we get home."

"Anything else you're forgetting to say?"

"No?"

Kuroo stopped walking, glaring at Kenma.

Kenma sighed, "Thank you for paying for it, Kuro."

Kuroo smiled, "You're welcome."

The two of them rounded the corner, soon reaching the game store.

Kuroo went ahead, opening the door for Kenma. Kenma went in and began scanning the store, deciding where the game would be. Kuroo immediately laid eyes on something he knew Kenma would love.

"Go look for your game, I'll meet up with you after I do something quick."

Kenma nodded, a confused look on his face. The store isn't even that big, he thought, what could he possibly want to do?

Kenma decided not to ask any questions, instead just doing as Kuroo said, quickly disappearing behind some shelves.

As soon as Kenma was out of sight, Kuroo quickly picked up the item he had been looking at before, and rushed to the counter to pay for it, making sure he wouldn't be seen by Kenma.

Once the items were paid for, he quickly put them in his pocket.

"What are you doing at the counter, Kuro?"

Kuroo quickly turned around to see Kenma.

"Oh, I just uh- I figured I'd wait here for you."

Kenma stared at him for a moment, clearly not believing him.

"Did you find the game you were looking for?"

"Yep, right here." Kenma held the game up infront of his face, trying to hide his small smile.

"Good," Kuroo grinned.

Kenma placed the game on the counter, Kuroo quickly getting the money out of his wallet to pay for it. Once it was paid for, they both left the store, Kuroo holding the door open for Kenma once again.

Kenma held onto the game like it was the most important thing to him the rest of the walk home.

"You better like that game. Otherwise we would've went there for nothing."

"What did you buy?"

"I didn't-"

"You were standing by the counter. I know when you're lying, Kuro."

Kuroo sighed, "You'll see later."

"Thank you," Kenma's voice was barely above a whisper.

Kuroo smiled, looking down towards Kenma, who was looking up at him.

Kenma quickly pulled the game up, attempting to cover his face with it again.

"You're welcome, Kenma."

Kenma stayed quiet for some time, listening to Kuroo talk about how his classes went. He truly was grateful that Kuroo had bought the game for him, he looked forward to playing the game together. He wondered what Kuroo could have bought. It obviously had to be something small, since he was able to hide it and didn't get a bag.

"Wanna...hold hands?" Kuroo asked, catching Kenma's attention.

"What?"

"You know, like we used to as kids?" Kuroo placed his hand on the back of his neck, trying to avoid looking at Kenma.

Kenma stared at Kuroo for a moment, his mind blank.

Kuroo's gaze quickly snapped down to Kenma when he felt a small hand gently wrap around his own.

He stared as the smaller boy just held his head down, neither of them saying a word. Both boys became flustered, Kuroo soon looking away from Kenma and focusing on their surroundings. Kenma finally looked up, seeing Kuroo smiling.

The smaller boy closed his eyes, a small smile forming on his own face. He tightened his grip on Kuroo's hand slightly, as he put his full trust in Kuroo to guide him home. Subconsciously, he moved closer to Kuroo, calmly tilting his head to rest it on Kuroo's arm as they walked.

Kuroo decided not to say anything, instead his smile just grew bigger as they walked in silence.
