"We need to talk, Kuro." Kenma spoke, his voice stern.

"Oh, uh okay? Are you alright?"

Kenma ignored the question, instead he began walking outside.

Kenma had decided he'd wait until the matches were over and the gym was empty. Once he got outside, he noticed the sun was setting, a cool breeze blowing his hair out of his face.

"What's wrong, Kenma?" Kuroo asked, clearly concerned as he followed behind the shorter boy.

Kenma looked back quickly, making sure no one was around before he spoke. "Please don't get mad at me."

Kuroo didn't say anything, he already knew what Kenma meant.

"I don't wanna pretend to date anymore. I know it's only been a day, but I can't handle it."

"Kenma, if you felt uncomfortable you could've told me."

"It's just...I can't tell you exactly whats wrong."

"Why not?"

"I don't know how to word it." Kenma looked down.

"Then throw out random words if you have to, I'll help you."

"You can't help me, Kuro! You don't even know what's wrong!"

Kuroo flinched, startled by Kenma's sudden shouts. "Just help me find out what's wrong and I can-"

"No you can't! I don't know why I would ever agree to pretend to date you! It's all so stupid!"

"Okay, calm down, Kenma. Please just talk to me, it's oka-"

"It's not okay!" Kenma screamed, tears now pouring down his face. "I haven't been able to tell you the truth for years! How the hell am I supposed to just tell you now!?"

"What are you talking about? Please just calm down, we can talk this out, Ken-"

"I've been in love with you for years, Kuro! I can't stand being your fake boyfriend and knowing you don't actually love me and you only wanted to pretend to date me just to make yourself look better!"

Kuroo's eyes grew wide. He was completely speechless. Kenma...loves me?

Kenma froze once he realized what he had said. His mind went blank, the tears stopped.

"Kenma-"

Kenma's body started moving on its own. His legs moving as quickly as they could get him away from there, away from the situation, away from Kuroo. He didn't know where he was going, all he knew was that he didn't want to see anyone right now, especially not Kuroo. He just wanted to hide, never come back. He wanted to escape all of his emotions and just be in silence. Unfortunately for him, all that hope was lost when he ran into something- no, someone.

"Kenma-kun?" A familiar voice spoke, one Kenma immediately recognized to be none other than Hinata Shoyo. "Are you okay?"

Kenma hid his face, trying to catch his breath.

"What's wrong?"

"I...I can't-" Kenma collapsed on the floor, a sobbing, shaking mess. "I'm such an idiot!"

Hinata quickly knelt down to aid his friend. "What happened? Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

Hinata began trying to think of what could possibly get Kenma so upset. "Did something happen, Kenma-kun?"

Kenma tried to speak, but he didn't even know how to explain it all.

"Speak to me, Kenma-kun. I'm here, try your best, it's okay."

Hinata wrapped his arms around Kenma, pulling him into a hug.

"S-Shoyo, I..."

"It's alright, try to relax."

"I confessed to Kuro..."

Hinata's eyes widened, "what did he say?"

"I...don't know...I ran away before he could answer."

"It's okay, Kenma-kun. I'm sure it'll all work out, you just need to be patient and-"

"I don't want to lose him, Shoyo!"

"I know, but you need to calm down and sort out your thoughts."

"Hinata, there you are!" A voice shouted from behind them.

"Kageyama-kun! I'm busy right now!"

"What do you-" Kageyama noticed the tears pouring down Kenma's face, "do you need me to get someone?"

"No...please...I don't want anyone." Kenma spoke slowly.

"Please just give us time, Kageyama-kun. I'm trying to calm him down, bringing other people will only stress him out more."

"Okay, fine then." Kageyama said, leaving them alone once again.

"Just try to breathe, Kenma-kun. It'll be okay."

"He's...gonna hate me."

"No he won't, don't think like that."

"You don't understand, Shoyo. I...I cant believe how stupid I really am!"
