Secrets of the Eclipse

Chapter Three

Alana got up the next morning feeling refreshed after staying in her room. Doing her daily morning routine she quickly rushed down to help with breakfast and as usual she sat down but this time she waited for someone in pure anticipation.

There were loud bickering and she knew they were her uncles. She expect them to be rowdy as usual. But she didn't expect Benjamin joining them, ignoring her presence.

She watched as he interact with her uncles and bluntly ignoring her.

She decided it's best she give up on asking him and goes to school feeling more worst when she saw her two best friends talking to him.

She went to classes and stayed further away from him. Then that day for the first time something remarkable happened.

She doesn't know why but the ring that hung around her neck was glowing yellow. Luckily she managed to hide in the rest room and examined it.

'What the hell is going on?' She thought as it stopped glowing and she let out a breath, relieved.

She went back to class to find everyone's eyes were on her. She apologized and stayed focus as the teacher continue rambling about the subject.

By lunch, her two best friends completely ditched her to have lunch with Benjamin.

She feeling frustrated grabbed the content of the burger and juice and went to the big tree behind the school, sitting cross legged and have her lunch.

As she finished the last bite of the burger the bell rang as she finished the juice, throwing the wrappers and can in the bin and managed to get to class before the teacher arrived.

Finally the day has come to and end and it was time to go home. She watch as her two best friends surrounding Benjamin and she couldn't help but feel like she was betrayed.

She ran out the door, not realizing she accidentally bumped into the popular kids

"Hey! Watch where you're going bitch!"

"Sorry I didn't see you there. Excuse me" she was about to leave when one of the popular kid, by the name of Devin pulled her back harshly by her wrist and was about to swing at her

"Nope. We are not done here. You don't mess with us"

She looked at them and raised an eyebrow as she pulled his finger away from her and snapped his wrist backwards

"Ahhh it hurts!!"

"And you don't mess with me. I'm your seniors you punks and you do not mess with me!" She walked away and grabbed onto her bike and went away.

She was riding back and thought it's going to be chaotic so she went to the nearest forest.

She rode her bike and clearly the terrain wasn't suitable but she kept on going. She didn't know that she was being watched.

She arrived at a beautiful scenery of a waterfall and felt herself becoming calm.

At that moment the ring glowed bright blue. She wondered what those colours mean.

She stayed on the further end of the waterfall and being careful not to get herself injured as she could possibly fell instantly.

She let out a huge breath and cried her eyes out. She cried due to the event that's been happening to her lately. She cried and cried until she realized the sun's coming down replacing it with the moon.

She decided to leave as she rode her bike back to the main road as she headed back home only to find her dad looking distressed

"I'm home. What's going on?"

He saw her and quickly hugged her.

"Alana where have you been? Everyone got so worried when you disappeared like that. Don't ever do that again!"

"Sorry dad. I felt a huge pressure so I went someplace to relief it. I won't dad do it again, I promise"

"Good. Now go and freshen up. I'll go and reheat the food. The rest already retreated back to their rooms.

"Ok dad" she answered and soon climbed the flight of stairs towards her bedroom and went to her bedroom to shower.

After what felt like hours being in the shower, she got dressed and went downstairs to find her dad only to see a table and the smell of food. She saw a note

Baby girl,
Have something to eat and then you can rest. I hope you don't mind spaghetti

Love,
Dad.

She smiled and starts to devour the whole plate of spaghetti. Afterwards she wash up and came in the living room to find her dad watching a crime show.

"Daddy"

He turned to face her and smiled.

"Yes baby girl?"

She laid her head on his lap and soon enough her eyes felt heavy so she soon drifted off to sleep.

Daniel turned off the TV and carried Alana back to her bedroom.

He kisses her forehead and said "Sweet dreams baby girl" before leaving the room. A few minutes later, she heard a bump somewhere and she grabbed onto the baseball bat and starts to hit the person

"WHO ARE YOU?!" Alana screamed and the person grabbed making her and made her fall right on top of him.

Their eyes met and they felt an instant spark. He took off the hoodie revealing who it was

"Benjamin? Why are in my room again?"

He shook his head and answered.
" I want to tell you something"

"What is it?

"I.....I"

"You what?

"I might be able to let you see for yourself"

He opened up a portal and she looked at it with fascination.

"What the hell is that?"

He just smiled and answered

"This is the time portal. It brings your back in time"

"Whoa. This is so cool"

He couldn't help but smile

"Now shall we go?"

She nodded and the both of them goes through the portal and disappeared.

They landed nearby a beautiful meadow as Benjamin dusted himself and said "Let's get going then"

She nodded and followed him. He saw cute creatures along the way to a huge castle.

She was greeted by a servant and Benjamin lied saying that he was Princess Alana's bodyguard and fiancee.

The servant believe them and soon they went to a dining area and knew where she saw her dad and mom practically being too close to each other.

"Your Majesty, I present to you Prince Benjamin and his fiancee Princess Alana from the kingdom of Flora" the both of then bowed curtly.

Alana just have glared at Benjamin and whispered "I will kill you later" and Benjamin felt himself shiver in fried.

"Nice to meet you both. May I know as to why both of you are present in this splendid day?"

"I would like to form an alliance with the kingdom of Chameli, Your Highness"
