Secrets of the Eclipse

Chapter Twelve

Lunch was a quiet affair as everyone was still couldn't move on from what had happened earlier.

Alana got tired and thus Adriana accompanied her upstairs and having lunch together.

Estelle was still in a terrible mood and continue stabbing the meat that's already have punctures from the constant stab of the steak knife.

Andrei just watch him with a stoic expression on his face. The rest ate quietly until Estelle plunged the knife to the table and got up and left through the backdoor and into the garden.

Every eyes were on the retrieving figure and knew to just let him cool off.

Daniel knew Estelle isn't the type to get mad about simple things but to him, Alana was his life. He remembered Adriana and Alana is her family so he got angry when either one of then were injured.

Back then when he thought Adriana died and Alana was injured he felt so useless as he couldn't heal them that well.

Estelle let out a breath of air as he walked around the garden. He saw a wilted flower and by habit he went to touch it and it turned it to bloom nicely.

He closed his eyes and let out tears as he felt he's useless.

Then a hand placed on his shoulder and he turned to see Alpha Andrei.

Estelle pushed the hand away and walked away. But then Andrei said something made him stop in his tracks "You are not useless, Estelle"

"How do you know?" He ask turning around and face the man "How do you know? I almost lost my own family. Two of them almost by death"

Andrei was quiet. He understand Estelle was angry and feeling upset. He let the man vent out. He allow it because Estelle is still his mate. And he must understand him as to get closer to him.

"I know the feeling. I know. I lost everyone in my life. Everyone in this pack thought that I wasn't worthy of being the alpha. They too thought I was useless and they were correct. I too felt myself useless. I too beat myself up up till now I do thought what have I deserve to be a leader to lead a pack that couldn't even respect guests. So I'm sorry for the issues my ex-pack member has caused"

Estelle wasn't satisfied. He doesn't need the apology. He doesn't need the pity.

"I hope we can cooperate soon. I don't want to let you leave feeling discouraged"

Estelle felt that wasn't the case and then he said "Whatever you do I hope it will not be repeated" and he left Andrei in the middle of the path of the garden and went back in through the backdoor as he passes by Daniel and the rest and went up to his room.

In Alana's room, Adriana was sitting by Alana's side as she watch her daughter sleeping. At that time the ring glowed red and Adriana's eyes went wide. She rushed of the room and called Daniel and the other 11 pulling her to the room.

"What's wrong?"

"The ring......red......glow.......danger...." Adriana said between breaths.

"We have to inform  The alpha" but then a snarl was heard and a wolf came in through the window. Alana woke up and screamed as Daniel uses his power to kill the creature.

"Alpha Andrei!!" Daniel called aloud and Andrei answered

"What is going on?" He ask and Andrei answered "They are rogues. They are from my father's enemy"

"'Do you need our help?"

"Yes" and  at that Adriana and Alana was brought together to the shelter where all omega and children were placed.
