Secrets of the Eclipse

Chapter Eight

Three months later:

Alana is already in her fourth month in her pregnancy. The summer is almost over and Benjamin was due to come back. 

She misses him so much that some days she would talk to the baby in her belly and tell it some stories.

Her parents found out that the baby's father is Benjamin.  Daniel was extremely angry but his anger lessen as he sees Alana's state.

Adriana was thrilled about having a new edition to the family and she sets up a new nursery for the baby.

Alana went to the check up mostly with her parents or most of the time with either one of her parents.

They found out the gender of the baby and it's a boy. Everyone was thrilled.

Everyone but Alana who was seem sad. She would fake a smile but they know at night she would cry. They wish they could do something but they couldn't. 

Daniel even offered to go and find Ben and bring him back but Alana told him

"It's okay dad. I don't want to burden you. He has to settle something and let him do it. He will come back. He promised he would"

That's what she told them and they knew they couldn't do anything.

At last one night, Ben came back to the Boarding house but demure seem slightly different.

"You're back! I miss you!" She hugged him but he push her gently and that made her confused and slightly hurt.

"Alana. Let's talk tomorrow. I'm tired from the journey.  Go and rest okay?" He said and Alana knew something was wrong. 

"What's wrong? Did something happen while you were back there?" She ask, still want answers

He let out a soft sigh and answered "We will talk tomorrow. Goodnight Alana"

She knew something did happen. He changed.

She cried silently, rubbing her belly "Your dada is so mean to me baby boy. I think he doesn't love me anymore"

She cried and fell asleep? She had a nightmare and it seem to be too real.

Dream:

She was standing far away almost at the entrance. She saw them the love of her life, Ben and Amanda smiling happily and they said their vows and the felt her heart breaking into a million pieces

She then didn't have the heart to witness anymore and ran away. Her visions faded and Alana woke up.

End of dream

She saw the alarm clock just on her bedside table and saw that thatbits half past 3 in the morning.

She yawned and decided to go back to sleep but her mind told her to stay awake.

Alana felt hungry and wanted ice-cream so she got out of her bedroom and went downstairs.

She heard the TV was on and she thought it was her dad or one of her uncles but it wasn't.  It was Benjamin watching a documentary.

"Why aren't you sleeping yet?" She ask him and he turned his head towards her and answered  "Couldn't sleep. Why are you awake at 3AM?"

"I wanted to eat ice-cream" she said and he went quiet until "You shouldn't eat a lot of junk food it you will get...."he didn't get to finish that sentende before a pillow was thrown directly to his head and she gritted her tight, holding onto the rising temper

"I DARE YOU YOU TO FINISH THAT SENTENCE BENJAMIN SANDERS!"

He turned to her and said in a cold tone of voice "Fat. Why? Aren't you already one? You look like a whale. Have you been eating and sleeping all summer? So lazy"
