Secrets of the Eclipse

Chapter Six

Alana continue to figure out her own feelings whenever saw Benjamin but it seem too complicated.

She is glad he gave her time, and being understanding. It was confusing at first for her as this would be her first time being confessed at directly.

As the senior prom grew nearer so will be graduation and Alana knew she would go off to college.

She and her two best friends were talking until a subject appeared

"So did Ben asked you out for prom yet?" Kelsie asks

"What do mean? Why would he ask me when there are a bunch of girls who is dying to go to prom with him"

"Why not you babe? You and him aren't you too closer now?" Sam now asks, teasing her

Alana couldn't answer them and shook her head "You two are not funny. Since when are we close. We are just strangers living in the same house, that's all"

Both her best friends doesn't believe her and she felt guilty

"Why are you overreacting? Did something happened to the both of you?" Kelsie asks

And then Sam gasped "He confessed didn't he?"

Alana couldn't answer and her two best friends squealed "So what did you tell him?"

Alana expression became sad as she answered "I was too shocked to answer and he told me he will give me time to answer"

There were more squeals and Alana couldn't help but look around "You two are too loud"

"If he ask you again what would be your answer" Kelsie ask

"Wait....do you even like him? Not wait love....do you even love him?"

Alana couldn't answer as she was still confused with her heart. Her heart was still unsure if it was love or just a mere infatuation and wanted to try to date to please the other person. That would be wrong but is it?

"I don't know okay. I'm still confused if its like or love or just infatuation. I don't want to hurt his or my own heart. It's like taking advantage of people and I'm not like that"

Her two friends placed their hands onto hers and Sam said "Babe, all you have to do is try. You never date anybody at all. I'm guessing it's due to your dad and your uncles"

"What Sam was getting at is you just follow your heart. Don't worry okay?

Alana was grateful for her two best friends giving her advice.

"Thanks babes" she hugged them and knew she must make the right decision before it's too late and she might regret it.

When she was about to go home, she saw at a corner Ben was with a blonde girl, who is the popular girl by the name of Felicia Anderson.

She saw him talking and smiling happily. She was touching him and she felt a sudden rage of anger overcoming her. But she kept to herself.

She then saw something that made her boil in anger. Felicia kissed Ben's cheek and that was what made Alana have had enough.

She walked right up to them and said "Ben let's go home together" Benjamin who was surprised to see her looking fuming mad knew something had happened.

"Uh sure. Goodbye Felicia. It's nice talking to you" he said and soon he followed her to her bike.
She unlock it and rode it. She turned her head towards him "Climb on"

He did, despite his long legs she started to paddle and soon together they were on the way back to the Boarding house.

As soon as they've arrived she placed the bike at it's place and soon the both of them entered through the door.

"We're home" Alana announced and she saw her mom's head popped out from the kitchen's door

"Oh you two are back. Go and freshen up I'm making pasta for dinner tonight"

"Ok mom"

"Ok Mrs. Jones"

There was a groan from the living room and Alana couldn't help but chuckle.

"You hear that honey. He called me Mrs. Jones. How cute. Just call me Adriana, Ben. Now go. Run along"

Another groan was heard and a sound of something being hit was and an "owww" was they heard "shut up!"

Alana knew how childish her dad and uncles were but this was going on way too long.

Alana and Ben looked at each other and Alana said "We will talk after dinner. Meet me at the rooftop by after dinner"

At that she climbed the stairs and headed to her room. She changed into some comfy clothing and walked downstairs to hear her uncles being rowdy.

She arrived at the dinning table and saw her uncles fighting over the sweet bread.

Alana shook her head and sat down. She saw Benjamin came a few minutes later and sat down and soon they have their dinner.

"So, how was school today honey?" Her mom ask.

Alana then took a glance at Ben and then turned to face her mom and answered "It was alright"

Her mom smiled and said "That's good. How about you Benjamin. Did you find the school alright?"

"Yes, Mrs.Jon-sorry Adriana. Everything is alright"

"That's good. So any school event coming up?"

Alana stopped eating halfway and looked at her mom as Benjamin Benjamin answered "Yes. The school prom?"

"That's great. So did you invite anyone to go with you yet Ben?"

He gave a smile and answered "Not yet. Because I'm afraid that person might not like me"

"Oh that's too bad. How about you Alana. Did someone ask you out for the prom?"

Alana was taken aback by the question almost choked from the food.

"Uhm not yet. Guess I'll just go there and be all on my own"

"It's better. I heard boys your age are truly the worst" Daniel butts into the conversation.

Adriana nudged her husband and said "Not now dear"

"What did I do?"

She have him a glare and whispered in a cold tone "Do you want to sleep on the roof tonight?"

Everyone in the room became scared.

"No ma'am"

She smiled and answered "Good. Now finish eating"

As they ended dinner, Alana ended up taking longer time as she helped with cleaning up and soon she climbed the emergency staircase and headed towards the roof where a figure was waiting for her.

"Ben" she called him and he turned around and saw her. Both felt like the world slowing down and it was just the both of them in the world.

Their hearts beats in the same rhythm as he came closer to her and placed a hand onto hers. He felt the spark and both of their eyes widen.

"Alana"

"Ben"

They both simultaneously called each other and they both couldn't help but but laugh slightly.

"Ladies first" he said and she smiled.

"I'm sorry it took me awhile but I guess my heart wants what it wants"

"What?" He now looking confused

The next thing he knew a soft pair of lips attached to his own as they kissed, savouring the taste of each other. They hugged and felt a bolt of electricity going through.

"I'm sorry it took me awhile to answer you but here is my answer. I love you too Benjamin"

He smiled and soon they shared another kiss, their noses touched and soon their fingers clasped together as that night was just the beginning of their love story.
