Secrets of the Eclipse

Chapter Sixteen

After the wedding, Alana had a lot to think about. The words he said last time still lingers around in her mind

"I'll wait until you finally forgive me and let me come back into your life again"

Alana continue to ask herself 'Should I give him a second chance? We could be happy as a family'

'But what if he hurt me or Alex? Was he sincere enough?'

She watch as baby Alex was playing. He already reached three months old and growing happily.

Alana wouldn't lie. She is scared. There were many possible reasons why he wants to come back.

A lot of negative ones would appear and she doesn't like it. Thus it cause her to get a migraine.

'If I give him a chance, will he be a good father to Alex? How will he compensate for what he had done all those times in the past?'

She was deep in thoughts she didn't hear her mom calling her. Adriana became worried as Alana became quiet and doesn't share her concern.

'What's on your mind baby girl?' She thought. She shared this concern with Daniel who answered "She is a grown woman. She will tell us when she is ready. We just have to trust her okay darling?" He kisses her forehead as he held her tight. Adriana couldn't help but sigh and looked sad and realise that he was right.

"Alright dear" she answered. But her mind still wondered what Alana was going through.

Until one day, Alana came to their bedroom and ask regarding something.

"What's wrong baby girl?" Adriana asks as she looked at Alana who's face full of worries.

"Mama" she called "Daddy" they knew she's worried or upset when she calls them that

"Yes baby girl?" They said in unison as Alana buried her head on her mom's shoulder

"I don't know what to do" she said 

"Do about what baby girl?" Daniel now ask

"Benjamin" she answered and both parents looked each other and Adriana rubbed her back

"What about Benjamin baby girl?Did he hurt you again during the wedding?" Adriana asks

Alana just shook her head "No. He just ask for forgiveness and wants me to give him a chance. He said that he will wait until I accept him back"

"Then what's the problem?" Daniel ask "Don't you want Alex to not about his own dad?"

Alana didn't think like that. Her only concern was the what if's and she hated those thoughts.

She didn't answer and thought long and hard about it looked at both her parents "Mama if daddy hurt you in the past would you forgive him? For me?"

Adriana and Daniel now became speechless. They never thought about it as well.

Then Adriana answered "I would forgive him. That's how much I love him"

Alana was still having the deep thoughts

"Baby girl, you should forgive him. For Alex's sake. He needs his dad"

"I know you are still unsure but just give Benjamin a chance to redeem himself, okay?"

Alana sighed and said "Okay mama, daddy. Thank you"

"You're welcome baby girl"

"Don't worry okay?"

She nods and got up before hugging her parents and left their room.

She knew she must do the right thing.

The next day, she mind linked with his Uncle Estelle.

'Uncle Es....may I ask for a favour from you?'

It too him awhile to answer until

'Oh hi baby girl. Sure. What do you need?'

'Can you locate where Benjamin is and bring him here tomorrow. I want to talk to him about something'

'Actually baby girl he's been with is in the pack for awhile now'

Alana's eyes widen in shock

'He's there?'

'Yeah. Let me talk to him and bring him to you tomorrow'

'Ok. Thanks Uncle Es'

She closed her mind link and watch as where Alex was now looking around. There was a toy by his side.

She picked him up and he placed fingers on her face and she couldn't help but laugh "My baby boy"

Alana the cried hugging him and he started to cry too. She wiped her tears and sooth him " It's okay baby boy. It's okay"

She fed him and soon after he was fast asleep and she placed him in his bassinet she laid in bed and looked out the window thinking

'Am I doing the right thing?' And fell asleep soon afterwards.

The next day, Alana was nervous as the time to meet him was getting nearer.

As the family finished with their breakfast and everyone left Alana stayed in the living room.

Her parents left to go on a date and her uncles went out as well. Leaving on her and Alex in the house.

Alex is in her room taking his nap. She put a baby monitor in the living room so she could hear him.

Soon at half past one in the afternoon, a portal appeared and Benjamin in out of it.

She saw him and suddenly she had tears fallen from her eyes. She knew she shouldn't but she couldn't help it as she was having mixed emotions.

He wanted to hug her but then she came towards him and buried her head at the crook of his neck.

"I'm sorry for crying. I've been a nervous wreck ever since last night" she said

"'It's alright Alana. I am nervous too. So what is it that you want to talk to me about?" He asks

Alana wiped her tears and looked up at him and was still sobbing "I'm giving you another chance"

He was surprised and felt relieved "I will forgive you if you promise you will be there for me and for Alex. I....." she wiped the tears again "I don't want him to resent you when he's older. I won't that to happen"

"Shhh....I understand.  I promise I will do the best I can. I regret hurting you love"

And then he place his lips upon hers, tasting her lips that he missed and Alana kisses him back missing him as well.

"I miss your kisses love"

"I miss your kisses too"

At that moment a cry was heard and their moment was broken. Alana couldn't help but let out a chuckle "Guess your son is awake from his nap" she smiled "Let's go see him together, love"

Benjamin was happy as held Alana's hand and they climbed the stairs and headed to her bedroom, opening the door to find Alex crying his little eyes out.

"'Awww my baby's awake?" She goes and carry him and sooth him. The little baby stopped crying and then he turned his head towards the man.

"He's your dada baby boy" she whispered "You want to hold him?"

Ben wasn't expecting the question  and soon Alana gave Alex to him.

He started to cry "He's so beautiful. Just like you"

Alana couldn't help but smile at the father and son reunion.

"He is beautiful. Our son, Alexander Jones-Sanders"

His eyes widen as he heard the name and was surprised. It was a great reunion for them and Alana hoped Benjamin will do as he promised.

She is happy for this moment as it was another great memory reminisce in the future.
