Chapter Seventeen

One Year Later:

Alex just turned one and everyone was celebrating his birthday. Estelle Andrei arrived and the celebration began. Everyone were happy for this special occasion.

He was smiling and clapping as the adults take turn playing with him.

They cut the cake after singing Happy Birthday song to him and not too long after he was put down for his nap.

Alana came down and saw the guests talking. Someone wrapped an arm around her waist "Did he go for his nap already, love?" She smiled and turned to Benjamin

"Yes. He was fighting not to sleep but after a little while he slept" she answered

"That's good" he said as he gave her a drink

There was a cough and every eyes were on the person "I have an announcement to make" Andrei said

Daniel was holding Adriana's waist. She is already in her fifth month of pregnancy. It became a shock for everyone.

"We are pregnant" Andrei and Estelle announced and everyone was surprised

"Congrats!!!!!" Everyone said and Adriana teased her brother "welcome to the mommy's club brother"

"Thanks Addy. It feels weird...."

"Don't worry. If you have anything to ask you can ask me or Alana"

"Yeah Uncle Es. Just mind link us whenever you can"

He smiled and hugged them "Thanks you two"

Alana excused herself and went to find Benjamin who was in the kitchen pouring another drink.

"Hey"

"Love"

She saw he looked sad "What's wrong?" She ask and he with a pout then said "Was it hard when you had Alex?"

The question made Alana realized she never told him exactly how she felt when she had Alex.

"It was. My parents were there when I gave birth. My mum accompanied me. They told me I lost a lot of blood so my mum took volunteered to give hers. The omega nurse at the pack's medical centre was surprised. But it was a miracle as they describe it"

"You know the first month I was going crazy. With what happened I knew I should confront you. We were about to leave when Alex was kidnapped. It made my condition worst and to what you witness I went on a berserk and kill everyone in your family. Even your in-law. But you know what....I don't regret it. Not one bit because I told myself someday you will come back. And you did. I'm glad"

He hugged her and kissed the top of her head "I'm sorry love for letting you go through such times. I'm sorry for not being by your side"

"It's alright. It's in the past. Now is the present. Our baby is already one. Soon he will start walking soon. He will be strong. I'm sure he will"

"Yeah. Our son is strong just like his mama" he said.

"I love you my love"

"I love you too my darling"

They shared a kiss that turned heated until they heard coughs. They pulled away and saw 14 pair of eyes watching them with amusement. Alana felt her face turned red.

"Sorry to interrupt but Andrei and Estelle are leaving" Adriana said and Alana just smiled and as a portal appeared they said their goodbyes and the two guests disappeared.

At that the silence were broken by a sound of cries from the baby monitor.

"Well that's my baby calling" Alana said and went upstairs leaving Benjamin with Adriana and the 12.

He saw Daniel glaring at him and Adriana just said "Now, now. No need to scare Benjamin"

"So Benjamin what is your plan in the future? Especially with our daughter?" Daniel ask and the younger wanted to hide.

"I actually was planning to propose to her, sir" He answered

"Well?" Now it was Jonah's turn to question "'When will you do it?"

"Tonight actually"Benjamin said "But..." his voice trailed off

"You feel like she isn't ready yet" Kenneth answered which made Benjamin nodded

Adriana came to him and said "Trust me she is as ready as she ever be"

The words made Benjamin felt better

"Now go to her. If I hear a single cry from her I will kill you myself" Daniel warned and that made Benjamin gulped, scared.

"Y-Yes sir" he answered as he rushed upstairs and headed to the bedroom where Alana was feeding Alex who was playing with a lock of her hair. She was singing a song and the scene made him was heartwarming.

She looked up and saw him "Oh hey. Are you okay?" She ask as he sat down by her side and got the box in his pocket.

He knelt down on one knee and said "Alana Jones will you do the greatest honor of being my wife?"

It surprises her as her eyes widen and she smiled and nodded "Yes!"

Downstairs Adriana and Daniel as well as the 10 heard "YES!!!" and smiled

"Guess there's going to be a wedding soon" Adriana said

"It sure will" Daniel said and kisses her.

Adriana knew that fate made her life change for the better. If she never met the 12 she never knew she would be happy at this point in her life.

"Thank you for coming into my life, my Guardian of the Eclipse" she said those words as Daniel kisses her forehead.

As their life turned for the better and so will be for their future generations as their legacy will continue as the heir to the Eclipse.
