Daniel's Perspective

My eyes creaked open in a sort of poetic way, gazing outward at the mountains bathed in the fullness of the moonlight's passionate embrace. My eyes took a while to adjust to the environment that surrounded me. My room was as white as the moon that hovered over the mountains, minus the sheet, curtains and carpet which were all storm grey.

White creatures, whose wings seemed to cover the mountains, gracefully danced around its peak, leaving white strands of magic in their wake as they flocked about. Oh, yeah, I'm in Quazir - in the past. The magical dimension before war and strife tore it asunder; before Mira ripped the continents apart and forever divided the factions, was beautiful.

The planet was a singular massive landmass that spread for miles on end. Yet even though the factions were not at war, xenophobia, racism and prejudice ran rampant throughout the land. The internal power struggles in the respective factions drew a clear line of demarcation amongst friends, family and foe.

We divided into two groups; one stayed on earth to further investigate the covenant and the other, my group, came to Quazir. We're here to find Mya because she's the only person with the answers I need. Despite that, I still feel as though we're rudderless in the winds of a storm from hell.

When we all woke up from what we did, James's golem had crumbled to dust had vanished and Chad was finally free of the hold on his mind. It'd been days since I'd seen or heard from my friends post the Chad fiasco. Ian and Chad's parents came home to see their home in complete disarray; had it not been for Alterra, Israel and Zahra's magic rebuilding the house, the boys would've certainly been grounded forever.

It's been seven days into the New Year so far and the traumatic memory of my birthday was as fresh as ever. In order to get the birthday, I was robbed of, I flew to the Bahamas, void of warning, and spent the entire holiday there. It is the best decision I've ever made and I will never regret nor forget it for as long as I live.

It was exactly what I needed - time. Time to think, relax, process and be free. To be so young and have so much put on you - immortal or not - it was hard. I had my whole life ripped out from under me and no one ever once considered what that did to me. How that made me feel.

They poured and poured more responsibility and revelation on my plate and each time I was expected to gobble it down with no questions. Michael, Israel, Zahra, Alterra and even this freaking voice in both my head and dreams, all expect me to become and do something that I don't even fully comprehend. For a young boy, that was a lot.

The hum of the plane calmed my soul as the pilot signaled his preparation to begin landing. I drew in a massive breath and stalled the overactivity of my mind to allow a clear path in it for my thoughts to flow freely.

Even in my state of mental stability and peace, I am yet to discern what it is I want to do. At least I encountered them on my trip and henceforth did they quickly become the perfect distraction. However, I could not outrun my fate it seems - no matter how much I desired to.

En Route to London

Third Person Perspective

Daniel descends into deep slumber while on the plane on route to London, only to awaken in a haunted and seemingly abandoned cabin.

He emerged from the cabin and trailed through a pure white forest in the dead of night and stumbles upon a woman with indescribable beauty, deep Jade eyes and glowing pink lustrous hair. The woman, minus the hair, bore a slight resemblance to James. Speaking of which, he took notice of yet another James lookalike - it was clear it was not James, but still ....
