THE DELIBERATION HALL

UNIVIA (City of Dreams)

I haven't seen this many persons in a good while, I'm guessing today is especially important. James and I sat patiently inside the lobby area, waiting for our siblings to show up. A bunch of angels filled the room and as quickly as they came, they went. Good. I couldn't handle all this congestion.

"Daniel..." As I lay comfortably in the couch, I opened my eyes to a curvaceous being hovering above me. My old classmate that I despised more than Michael...

"Martha." I said drearily. "Why are you in the lobby? It's off-limits to .... your kind."

"Nice to see you too." Her word, smothered with cynicism launched in response. "I'm here because I'm one of the ushers for today."

"Why?" My attitude carelessly spilt out.

"I requested her presence." James's eyes scanned me with derision at the anger that he knew would come forth. "Stall your anger, brother."

"James ..." I growled. "You're lucky you're my brother."

"As though you could do anything if I weren't." He flashed a Cheshire Cat smile, my signature, all in an attempt to further try my patience. I love him but he's such an ass!

"Mocking me will not bode well for you, brother. " I warned.

"Daniel, you may be the most ruthless of the seven, but you're far from the strongest. Humble your fragile little self, or else your ego will be your undoing." Martha took it upon herself to snicker at his comment, instilling me with great disdain.

"Martha, I do not know why in the farthest reaches and deepest crevices of your mind that you even thought for a minute that you could utter even a single letter to me." I was ready to unleash Hell. "I pity you ... lesser species - you were birthed by accident whereas myself and my siblings were created. We will forever be superior to you downtrodden and uncouth stray dogs begging desperately at our feet for the scraps from our table that fall by its wayside." Her eyes descended into sadness with immediacy. "You and every non-angelic being are worth less than nothing. You are worth less than the spittle that seepages from my lips. Less than the excretions of my body. Far less than the lowliest of things your frail mind could ever dream off. You are pitiful. Insignificant. A good for nothing excuse for a daughter. No wonder your filthy whore of a mother and communal sperm bank of a father put you up for adoption. Even the lowliest of garbage did not desire to keep you." Her claws pushed out one by one at both her fingertips as I spoke. It was disgusting listening to the low growls of a lowly mutt "The mutt is angry. How comical."

"Daniel ..." She spoke warningly in a low and inert tone. The color of her iris shifted to their fiery orange convex shape.

"I dare you to try." The temperature in the room slowly fell into a kingdom of ice. My eyes for the first time in my life had changed to a heavenly glowing white, juxtaposing the white aura leisurely flowing around me. "I've been pondering upon what to feed my dogs." She lifted the back of her heel off the ground and leapt into the air with eyes exhuming bottomless hatred.

"Enough!" How did they reach me so fast? I didn't even sense their presence. James appeared to my side and swung his hand backwards, gripping my neck with deadly force. My hair flew back at the powerful backwind that followed forcing blood out from my lips. He afforded me no time to counter his brute strength showing everyone in the room why he was deemed by Zeus as the "Son of Kratos". He is the strongest angel in all of Olympus.

Instantly, Martha came charging down towards me. James, with his hand, firmly draped around my neck rotated on his axis, swinging me with tremendous force to his immediate right and releasing me to sail like a boat in a storm towards a sturdy rock column. My body blasted through it with rapidity and power unmatched until I finally crashed into one of the massive stone statues in the building.
