Daniel's Perspective

I have so many conflicting feelings overlapping in my mind as I stood flatfooted at the front of Chad's house. 'Twas not that long ago, yet the memory of it was as fresh as the day I exited these unhallowed walls. I was yet still ready for all that would befall me once the meeting began. Her hand gently rested upon my shoulder and before I knew it I felt a wave of absolute calm come over me.

"Are you ready?" She asked ever so softly.

"I'm not, but I have to be." I sulked. "I can't put this off forever." As much as I wanted to ... I couldn't. I needed answers.

Half an hour Later

I've had many moments where I questioned everything that has befallen me and doubted all that I've been told. Today was no different but somehow, my soul was at peace through it all. It may be because I was surrounded by everyone that I had grown to love in these past few years.

Having them here offering their support made the process a lot less daunting. Sadly, my brother and his lover were absent. They're expected to arrive soon based on the last phone call we shared. Nonetheless, the conversation began.

The spirit of Titania had appeared amongst us, revealing the deep things concerning all she knew of the prophecy. In the overlapping wrap of the silence, she revealed herself to us in phantasmal form; as beautiful as one would expect from one of her bloodline. She's a thing of beauty; hair like the wavy ocean, eyes like a cool summer's day and skin as white as the everlasting snow.

The spirit instructed us all to sit in a circle on the floor, to ensure that all the information she would offer unto us would remain inside it. As we each got comfortable in our respective positions, Alterra soon began her chant.

In the center of the circle, a small rose fashioned entirely out of magical energy sprouted. It grew and grew, and kept growing ever so swiftly until it was nearly the size of a human being. Its majestic petals unfolded, opening entirely and shifting its shape to form a beautiful seat.

My eyes drifted to the surrounding area, and widened in amazement. I'd been so enthralled in the beauty of the center rose; I hadn't noticed the spiraling fragments of magical energy in the room; nor did I take note of the miniature roses which encircled like lit candles at the ends of a witch's pentagram. They each had a life of their own, shifting left to right as though they had material form, being pushed to and fro by the breeze.

"Daniel," Her milky voice sent a sliver peace right down my spine.

"Yes?" I answered softly. My eyes were glued to her ethereal countenance, but my heart was fixated on the fear of what she had to say.

"Have you ever heard of the Tower?" My initial response was to be an easy 'no' until I recalled the strange dreams I'd have where the woman would mention a tower. 'Find the tower' she'd echo unendingly in my ear.

"I'll take your silence as a yes. " I nodded. "I deduced as much. By now, you've been plagued with dreams you can't explain and have awakened powers you never dreamed of."

"Yes, my lady;" I said nervously.

"Please, spare me the formalities. Simply refer me as Titania." Why am I so nervous? She's an ally - not an enemy. Yet, I still feel as though I'm on trial.

"Yes, m-" I paused, feeling sweat dripping down my face and the curvature of my spine. "Titania." Demetria, the girl I brought, stretched her hand to me and rubbed her thumb over it. 'Relax ...: she's not your enemy.' Is it weird that I'm attracted to a girl who looks like me? Obviously, she isn't exactly like me but - the similarity is there. Nevertheless, I trusted her and her judgment.
