Olympus
Year?
Earth Year, 1985
(LONG CHAPTER)

The deluge appeared to all as the masque of the skies, each section resolute in their parts; the wildlife scattered, the trees swayed unwillingly to the cold reprieve of the darkness and the earth drowned in agony at the onslaught. Our house materialized into view, blanketed by a hazy fog amidst the pouring rain, scraping for as much light as it possibly could get from the hidden move. At the window, a little Michael was mesmerized by the rain until something caught his eye. The front of our house was surrounded by angels hidden in cloaks, one of whom had a young child in their arms. The child had been shrouded by magic to protect them from the rain.

Following a knock, the door opened, revealing a woman; It was my mother, Sophena and behind her stood all my siblings, except Mortacia, who was tightly clung to the hem of her nightgown. Inaudible conversations exchanged betwixt mother and the cloaked figure. Immediately after, they all vanished into the night. Mother shut the door and turned to the worrisome stares of her children. She introduced them to their new, little brother.

"Daniel Ambrosia, welcome to our family."

The memory dematerialized and another swiftly materialized in its place.

Olympus
Unknown time period.

It's the day I got stuck in the forest. My feeble body struggled at the base of the tree, as my tears washed my face like rain from the heavens. My breathing expressed a rocky jaggedness, one it had never before alerting me to just how bad this was for me. After what seemed to my little self as forever, his heavenly light shone into my view but he was so far away that I couldn't discern who or what it was. That was until the entire earth beneath my feet quaked with explosive fury, alerting my senses to who it was.

The form of a dove, massive in size appeared in the sky, formed from light completely bathing the night sky with its power. His golden hair, curlier than ever, swayed in the chilled night winds as his body materialized into view. As the grumbles of the earth settled, the white light gravitated closer to me until Michael's body was mere inches from my person.

My eyes were bloodshot with pain, and my breathing was even more erratic; yet still, I broke a sweet smile. He sat beside me and slid down to the ground, wrapping his slender arm around my shoulder and used his other one to run his hand through my incredibly long hair.

"Daniel, I know our relationship has been .... estranged, but I really want you to know that I never wanted it to be. I'm so sorry for all of what's happened and happening to you but none of this was ever my intention.

After that day, my feelings for you were awakened. And as time progressed, I fell in love with you." I turned to the other side - yet another memory had materialized into view. While the new memory formed, I could not stop thinking about what Michael had said. Lies can't exist in this dimension, for the originator of the lie would surely be met with a swift demise. Even still, I am not sure what I must feel at this moment. My world crumbled around me, offering a forgotten love as my comfort amidst its lasting apocalypse. I know, however, that my heartfelt hairline tug when he admitted his love for me.

"I have one more thing to show you." Then, the single memory multiplied into an overlapping stream of blue light, slowly materializing into a series of memories.

"Daniel, this is how we spent our year and a half henceforward post that day."

A legion of memories erected out of the oceanic blue light. Series of events involving myself and my br - Michael; events that most earth people would refer to as dates.

Each date varied from the last, no matter if the location was the same. We spent most of our time together on earth. Michael had a friend named Zion Quercus-Ilex, a dryad, who often tagged along on our dates with his girlfriend, Tanya. Dryads have the ability to mask your presence from any creature, God or angel. Once masked, it cannot be undone unless by the casting dryad. Michael was aware that his feelings - our feelings for each other were taboo in some way, and that if ever the Gods or our siblings were to find out, there'd be hell to pay. He had our presence masked whenever we would abscond off on a date.
