I stepped out of the portal with Ares in hand but didn't end up at the daycare. I stood in the middle of another park. On my left, I could see rows and rows of wooden houses beyond the fence and to my right vast farmlands overrun with various crops currently being tended to. The Park was empty, which surprised me since it's usually so full in the days. I guess when there's a toxic fog on the loose, you wouldn't expect a crowd. I love this park, but I haven't been here since I was a spritely little angel. I remember when my mom would take us here when we were but toddlers and tell us something.
"Angels are guardians of light and beacons of hope. We are the most powerful faction there is and with great power, comes great responsibility. My precious babies, you are archangels and you have more responsibility than any other angel alive.
You were created to lead, to serve and to encourage. You are beacons of light to the angels you rule over and to all other factions. You were created to serve, to be messengers of the gods and the bridge between all species to them. You were created to be so much more than you can even imagine.
It is hard, I know. Hard to be held to such high regard and there will indeed come a day where you will face an enemy far greater than you. When that day comes, you must remember that you are light and you must fight. Fight to protect your life and the lives of the ones you guard. Fight, my children.
However, never let the tempting call of darkness seduce you in these low moments. Moments where it seems you are beset with enemies on all sides and all hope seems lost. You must fight when the voice slithers into your ears. That voice will imbue you with power; power far greater than you have ever known. But all things come with a price. And that price is your Grace.
Once you've lost your grace, you've lost yourself and your way and the journey back to the throne of grace is one that almost always leads to death, rather than redemption.
Your grace is precious.
Hold on to it.
Do not fall.
Do not fall.
Never Fall.
Fight the voice and fight for your life."
"Do not fall. Never fall." These words have lived on in my heart since the first time she spoke to us. My grace, my life, my soul ... they are precious and I do not have any desire to lose them. I will fight. I will never lose my grace. I will never let my grace go. I'd rather die than succumb to the tempting call of the darkness. I will never fall. I CANNOT fall.
I'm in Savia, the smallest city, and the last city you have to pass through before reaching Navia, the city of the Gods. Only archangels such as myself and my siblings could enter it as per the laws of Zeus. Savia is also the last city in the Centre, which is a hub where magical creatures and non-conformist angels all live.
The Centre is an amalgamation of 14 cities and 3 towns built as per instructions of the goddess Aphrodite; instructions that grieved and angered Zeus. Those not of angelic blood or Godly blood was viewed as less than by Zeus, a view not only shared by him but by other Gods. The Centre was created during the course of the war to hold the influx of magical and supernatural creatures being created by the War. By now you know of the war between Olympus and Hades, but you do not know the extent to which this war spread.

Olympus had always been in the heavens, hovering above earth and hidden behind a thick magical veil in a world all by itself. Because of this close proximity to earth, Omega God (he who birthed all Gods and Titans – also known as Quod Lux) decided to strengthen the veil between earth and Olympus. After the multiple decades of War, somehow the veil was torn and a rift was opened. At the time of the rift, no one had noticed because it was minuscule but even then, it started causing grave issues on earth.
