I looked at my dad who stood in the door way, practically and reasonably just as speechless as I was.

"D-dad! What are you..um..doing?" I asked, putting on an awkward smile.

"Gramps?" My dad whispered under his breath.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Don't know why I even try to hide this type of shit." I muttered to myself as I moved to the side, letting my father walk closer to the wizard.

Surprisingly, the wizard smiled. And it looked genuine not some mischievous smirk.

"Oh, Kevin!" The wizard said happily, his arms already wrapped around my father. (I didn't know what else to name the dad so we'll just deal with Kevin okay?😭)

"Hey, it's been a while." My father smiled, patting the wizard on the back. I didn't understand why boys did that, why did they pat each other's backs so hard like they were secretly trying to break them? Ironic and weird isn't it?

"See who was the golden child back then y/n?" Devin mumbled as he slouched in the couch, watching my dad and the wizard with envy.

I looked at Devin and then looked at my father and the wizard who cont7ed to chat like they've been talking since forever. I rolled my eyes and started to walk out.

"Y/n!" Devin called.

I turned around, "What?"

"Can you eat me more food?" He asked.

I groaned, "Go get it yourself."

"I can't be seen remember?" Devin whined.

"You have a magical wizard and your brother, I'm sure you'll find a way to get your food." I said grumpily as I walked away.

It wasn't that I was mad about my father finding his brother if he even knew. I was just annoyed that no matter what I did it never seemed to matter. I didn't need any celebrations, no parties, no gifts, no medals or trophies. All I've ever wanted was some family love. But, guess what? I despise my mom, feel ignored by my dad, my "boyfriend" is currently having a bad attitude, and my twin brother is dating his COUSIN. What could be ANYMORE messed up?

I walked into Mirabel's now tidy room. I glanced at Mirabel, her curls were already everywhere and she was laying in her arm. I quietly crept back into the other twin bed that was across from Mirabel's bed. I looked up at the ceiling, just praying, just asking for a better day tomorrow.

The next morning, I woke up to the lovely and familiar sound of pancakes. I quickly got dressed and by the time I got back in the room to brush my hair, Mirabel was already heading down the stairs. As I walked to the breakfast table, I had noticed many people decided to wake up early for the extra warm pancakes Julieta decided to treat us with. Of course, Mariano and Dolores got the extra big ones with the bigger and better toppings but no one was complaining. Surprisingly, not even Makenzie or Viola.

"Thank you Julieta." I smiled as she put down my plate and rushed back into the kitchen. I looked down at my pancakes, my mouth starting to water. I tried to look away and join a conversation before I couldn't help myself, though that would've made me seem badly mannered.

"So, Dolores. Your wedding is coming up in 2 days! How are you feeling?" Isabela asked.

"It's...definitely something to look forward to." Dolores responded with a slight smile.

I tilted my head and studied Dolores closely, something was wrong with her. She was clearly nervous.

"If my wedding day was ever that soon I'd be totally freaked. But I think you got this D," I winked as Dolores started to smile. This was the only way to tell her it was okay to be afraid without directly calling her out and who knew the next time I was going to get my next chance to talk to her?

"So y/n and Isabela, have you found your dresses yet?" Pepa asked.

"Not yet, I plan on going dress shopping today." I smiled.

"Oh, I'd love to come as well. Shopping is my thing." Makenzie said like we had invited her.

I lo9ed at her with a certain look of disgust, "You're not walking down the aisle Viola." I snapped.

"And you are?" Viola scoffed.

I smirked, "I actually am. I'm walking down with Camilo." I responded.

Makenzie smirked like she was telling me, fine. Two can play that game.

"Didn't you break up with Camilo? That's weird, why would you walk down the aisle with him? I think I should." Makenzie replied.

"You both broke up?" Pepa looked at Camilo and I who refused to look at each other.

"How come mijo?" Felix asked, leaning his towards the table to get a better view of Camilo without Pepa's hair to block him.

"It's nothing." He mumbled.

"It really is nothing, and we're just taking a break it's not important." I smiled, trying to rid of the conversation.

"There is no such thing as a break in my opinion. It's you either love the person or you don't love them at all." Isabela spoke.

I looked at her. Well thanks Isa, I don't know how in the world that helped my case at all.

"I agree. Who asked for the break?" Pepa asked.

"Why would that matter?" Makenzie asked.

"Because, there is no such thing as breaks. Who doesn't love the other?" Pepa glared at the both of us, but looked st Camilo with more disappointment.

As I opened my mouth about to say "Me," I took a glance at Dolores who stared down at her pancakes intensely like she was having an aggressive staring contest with it. $1000 for the winner.

"Dolores?" I asked, "Are you alright?"

Dolores slowly brought her head up, "Of course, why wouldn't I be?" She said calmly, quietly and in a robotic type of voice.

I tilted my head, "What's wrong? You can spill it out." I assured.

She looked up and down at the table as everyone was watching her. She gulped nervously as she started to pick up her orange juice but Mariano gently took the cup away, allowing the juice to steady for a moment.

She took a deep breath, "Camilo asked y/n to take a break in their relationship because there was 'too much going on' which I totally do not believe and I think he's being ridiculous," Dolores started to rant quickly.

"Is this true Camilo?" Pepa asked, looking at her eldest son with horror. Not knowing what to think.

"Carlos also has secret feelings for y/n and he's been waiting for her to become available so he can earn her love-" Dolores continued.

Camilo and I both looked at Carlos with different looks across the table. He gulped and started to sink into his seat.

"NIC AND VIOLA ARE ACTUALLY COUSINS!" Dolores blurted.

I gulped, "Well I guess that's one way to put it."

"WAIT- WHAT!?" Nic and Viola exclaimed at the same time in shock, in horror as they looked at each other with the same ashamed looks.

I really liked all the ideas, only a few made me laugh. I liked this one because this also relates to what happens in the actual movie. Have a good night, enjoy the chapter :) since most people asked for Carlos and y/n to have a little something first, it'll come in an upcoming chapter.
