**Jennifer's POV**
I stopped the car and put it in park after pulling up to a huge house.
Kamron's house.
I swallowed hard and grabbed the ice tea, I picked up from the store on my way here before opening the car door and getting out.
I took a deep breath and slowly started making my way to the front door.
I knocked once and
Mrs. Hunt answered the door with a shocked look on her face. "Jennifer," she breathed, " I wasn't expecting you."
" I know Mrs. Hunt, I'm really sorry to barge in like this. But I heard Kamron was sick," I said, holding up the noodles and ice tea, "So I brought him this." I smiled slightly, hoping she'd let me in.
She jumped forward and wrapped her arms around me. It took me a few moments to fully understand what was going on, but when my mind adjusted - I hugged her back and she sighed softly.
Mrs. Hunt was a very small woman. She had brown hair and eyes, just like Kamron's. She was quiet short, and didn't wear make-up all that often. She spent most of her days at home and in the kitchen, being an Alpha's mate must be stressful.
She looked drained though, "Mrs. Hunt?" I whispered after she let go and took a step back, allowing me to enter the house.
"Yes, sweetie?" She asked, her soft voice filling me with the warmth that my own mother's voice never could.
"Is everything alright?" My voice trembled and she immediately noticed. She was now at my side as we stood in the kitchen.
Mrs. Hunt's brown eyes were glued on her hands, which were fidgeting with the hem of the pink shirt she wore.
"Uhmm.." She hummed.
"Mrs. Hunt?" I was becoming impatient, but I had all the time in the world for this woman.
"Kamron's been really sick lately," she breathed. Her whole posture deflated and the happiness she had etched on her face earlier, disappeared. The blue rings under her eyes became more defined and it looked as if she hadn't slept for days.
My heart shattered and I couldn't help but feel that this was my fault.
"Mrs. Hunt?" I asked, my voice was soft.
"Yes sweetie?" She took a deep breath before answering me.
"I just thought, you know, since you mated with an Alpha.." I started, but slowly began to lose my courage.
"You know you can tell me anything, right Jen?" She cooed softly, placing her hand on my shoulder.
I took a deep breath and continued, "What the difference, between a normal mated pair and a Alpha mated pair?"
Mrs. Hunt slowly moved back and took a seat on the kitchen chairs. She motioned for me to take a seat opposite her.
"Well, that depends darling." She said.
I went to sit next to her and asked, "On what?"
"A normal mated pair will experience the normal things like lust, care and a need for one another." She stopped to place her hand on my leg softly, "But a Alpha mated pair has it a lot worse."
I looked down, and glued my eyes on the floor. It felt as if she knew about Kamron and I.
"For Alpha's, the mating process is a lot harder, but they trigger the transformation of the other - if the haven't phased yet." I nodded enthusiastically, and motioned for her to continue.
