Jennifer POV
Chapter 1...
There he was..
Kamron Hunt..
His chocolate brown hair falling perfectly above is eyebrows and ending at the nape of his neck. His soft, light brown eyes and his flawless smile that slowly made it's way to his mouth as he spoke to his friends.
His voice was deep, but calm and sincere as it rolled off his soft, plump lips. His bottom lip had a gash on the right hand side from a car accident that happened a few years ago - making him look even more attractive.
Just looking at him you'd notice his broad shoulders and muscular arms. You'd notice his strong chest and the way his body was just perfectly proportional.
He was my best friend.
He WAS my best friend.. We were inseparable when we were younger, and we had an average size group of friends. Around 8 people, myself included.
But non-the-less, we were close.
We'd sleep over at each others houses for weeks, and we'd never get bored. We'd run, swim, watch movies, play games and talk.. Even when we were just sitting in complete silence, it felt as if a million words had been shared between us.
We WERE inseparable..
Until 3 years ago..
It was the beginning of grade 8, and most of our friends had left the school we were in - by then. Our school had a primary and high school, which meant a majority of the students proceeded in to the high school. A few students also left the school, and unfortunately, many of those few were in our group of friends. So our friend group of 8, decreased to 3. Myself, Kamron Hunt, and Taylor Krawford. That's it.
Coming into Grade 8, high school, I never thought I'd feel so alone. Having Kamron there made everything just seem so much better, but I couldn't find him anywhere. Not seeing him the whole holiday was bad enough - and now I couldn't find him anywhere.
I quickly grabbed my cell and texted him , ' Hey! Long time no see? Are you at school yet.. I'm so nervous/excited! '. I clicked send and looked up from the screen of my phone.
There he was.
He was standing in a crowd of people, laughing and flashing that amazing smile of his, and I couldn't help but smile. I watched him take out his phone and read the text I just sent him. His smiled faded, and he quickly tucked his phone back in his pocket, and continued talking to the group of popular kids.
Did I really just see that? Did he really just ignore my text? There was an indescribable pain in my chest and it felt as if I was alone in the world..
"Jennifer! Jen! " , Taylor's voice brought me back to reality as he came pushing through the crowd of people behind me. "Jen, I want you to meet someone.." he continued as the pain in my chest subsided. "Jen, this is Tiffany Rhodes, she's new here and I thought we could show her around.." His voice trailed off slowly.
I took a deep breath and it felt as if my heart got pushed back together as my lungs expanded in my chest. I turned around and faced Tiffany.
She had light brown, slightly curly hair that she'd put into a long ponytail that hung down her back, her fringe hanging ever-so-slightly in her face. She had big, dark green eyes with the faintest specks of brown in them. Her lips where plump and perfectly proportional to each other. Her face was small and heart shaped, and her skin was a lovely olive tone.
' Hey," I smiled " I'm Jennifer". She looked at me for a while as she took in my features. " Hey" , she finally said, coming back to reality. Just then the bell rang and groans echoed along the corridor.
"Jen?" , I looked up at a smiling Taylor as the words left his soft, pink lips. His eyes where a faint blue, with hazel surrounding the pupils and outer iris. His hair was dark blonde and spiked up - as always - into a neat mow hawk and his hair ran all the way down to his collar at the back of his neck. He had a strong jaw line and broad shoulders. You could see every muscle in his arms, and his six pack faintly showed beneath his shirt. Overall he was attractive, but I've known him too long to try anything.
"Yea?" I replied. "Where do you go first?" He said, his smile never leaving his lips. I took out my timetable and checked where I was about to spend the next 50 minutes "Physics, you?" I said almost immediately, as everyone was slowly starting to shuffle towards their classes. " Damn! I don't have any classes with you." he said whipping out his timetable and comparing it to mine.
I had almost forgotten that Tiffany was there, until I heard Taylor ask her where she went first. "Physics" she replied hesitantly, I flashed her a smile and she smiled back - immediately looking more comfortable.
"I'll see you later!" Taylor shouted over his shoulder as he ran up the stairs on his way to history. "Bye!", Tiffany and I said at the same time.
Tiffany and I studied our time tables and realised that we have almost every class together. I'd just met her, but I knew I was going to get along with her well.
