**Jennifer's POV**

I wasn't stupid, I could tell he was my mate by the way my heart raced and the hairs that ran along my spine stand on end. I could feel the warmth that radiated off of him only to be absorbed by me.

I could see his soft, chocolate brown eyes had specks of hazel in them and it would've been impossible to miss his pitch black coat. His coat shone a dark brown where the moonlight met it and I couldn't help but shiver while I took in his wolf.

Then that dumbass smirk spread across his face and I remembered everything..

I know I was a bit harsh on him (okay, maybe more than a bit..), but wouldn't you be? He just left.. No goodbye. No Nothing.

It killed me and it look like he got over it so easily. He never looked my way once, and what pissed me off the most was that he never answered my phone calls or texts.

I stopped sending texts about 3 months after the 'incident', and I only sent them on special occasions, like his birthday and Christmas. Did I ever get any back in return? No.

He was rude, uncaring, cocky, selfish and just plain full of shit. I don't need him!

'We need him' my wolf whimpered.

It's the first time I've ever heard from her, and it felt good knowing that I wasn't alone. But those weren't the words I needed to hear.

I didn't need to hear them because I knew them already.

When I turned away it felt as if a part of me stayed behind. My heart broke into a million little pieces and the shards from my shattered heart punctured my lungs and made it almost impossible to breath.

I pushed myself further onto my front legs, forcing my wolf to go faster. Macy fell behind and I forgot that this was her first time. 'I'm sorry..' I sighed while slowing down.

'It's okay. What happened back there? I couldn't hear a thing?' She said sounding curious and irritated.

Macy never liked to be shut out. She always had to know everything, when and where it happened.

'Who was that?' She started, 'His wolf looks so different from mine and yours.'

'Jen, who was it?' She pressed.

'Kamron..' My whole body shuddered as I let his name echo in my mind.

'Oh. I - I'm sorry.. I shouldn't of..' She knew how it effected me when he left. I cut her off, 'It's okay, you didn't know.'

She was quiet the rest of the way back home. As we reached within a yard of the house I saw 2 pairs of clothes on the steps of our back porch. 'Thanks mom,' I said remembering I had the anklet on.

'No problem sweetie, finnish up and hurry inside. Now that everyone's phased, your Dad wants to hold a pack meeting.' She informed me.

'On it.' I replied.

'Why do you two look different from the rest of us?' Macy asked, curiosity dripping from her tone.

'An Alpha male's coat is black, and an Alpha female's coat is white.' I informed her.

'What does that mean?'

'It means that we're both Alpha's..' I said quickly trying to change the subject. I really didn't want to talk about this now.
