"Oh the misery, everybody wants to be my enemy..."

Peter's POV

My body arched through the air, mimicking the flight of a squirrel, as I spread my arms wide. To aid my descent, I activated my trusty web gliders, sleek attachments that extended from my suit, allowing me to glide smoothly and safely towards the Staten Island Ferry.

As the ferry began its departure, I timed my jump perfectly, launching myself towards it as I approached, I skillfully deployed my webbing, allowing it to attach securely to the side of the boat, where I clung.

I looked up just as Y/n's head emerged over the side of the ferry, her hood removed to reveal her hair flowing in the wind. It seemed she had used her magical abilities to transform her appearance into ordinary clothes, Without wasting a moment, she vanished from sight.

"Took you long enough," her voice resonated in my ear, prompting me to shake my head slightly in response. I maneuvered myself towards a nearby window, navigating the vessel's exterior to reach a point where I could peer inside.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. What are you doing inside the boat?" I inquired.

"Looking for the bad guys," she replied.

"No, I meant, why did you have to go inside the boat?" I pressed.

"To look for the bad guys," she reiterated, emphasizing each word.

"Can't you just use your... wiggly woo's for that?" I queried,

"My what?" Y/n's confusion was evident in her response.

"Your magic! It looks like those wiggly woo's you draw on paper, so that's what I called it," I explained, a mischievous grin playing on my lips.

"I... no. Didn't seem necessary. Also, that's what my sister's name is in my phone. Parker, did you go through my phone?" Y/n's inquiry held a hint of suspicion, causing me to quickly backtrack.

"Um, no, that's weird. I just happened to notice it when you were texting her," I assured her.

"I can sense your eye roll all the way from outside the boat. Okay, Karen, activate enhanced reconnaissance mode,"

"Sure thing," she replied.. Instantly, my vision transformed, enhancing like a high-definition tablet screen. Details sharpened, and I zoomed in on a particular individual standing near a window, with pertinent information about him displayed alongside.

"Sweet," I whispered under my breath, excitement bubbling within me. "That's the guy from the bridge. But who's that other guy?" I questioned, directing my attention to Y/n, who had settled into a seat away from the bustling crowds.

"He's not in my criminal database," Karen reported, my gaze focused on the mysterious figure. As he glanced over his shoulder, a picture of May, appeared on the screen. "Incoming call from May Parker. Should I reroute it to your heads-up display?"

"No, I can't talk right now. I'll call her back," I replied swiftly, the image of Aunt May fading away as I prioritized the task at hand.

Y/n's POV

As I maintained my watch over the ferry, an older man walked past me. Following Auntie Nat's teachings, I averted my gaze, adopting a level of stealth and discretion. In the midst of my focus, Peter's voice crackled through the comms.

"Y/n?" Peter's voice called out, breaking my concentration.

"Yeah?" I replied, my attention shifting.

"There are some guys out on the front deck. They're bad guys," Peter informed me, urgency lacing his words.

"Be there in a second," I responded, my determination evident as I swiftly made my way towards the back of the boat. Carefully assessing my surroundings, I tapped into my magical abilities, utilizing teleportation to transport myself to Peter's location. As I materialized beside him, my form shimmering momentarily, I underwent a swift transformation, donning my superhero suit.
