31. Endgame

Your eyes shot open, and you sat up abruptly, your heart pounding in your chest. For a moment, you were disoriented but as the haze of sleep lifted, you studied your hands and feet, relieved to find them intact and unharmed. Taking a deep breath, you glanced around, only to realize that you were still on the same planet as before, but something was different—everyone was gone. The eerie silence hung in the air, broken only by the faint whisper of the wind.

Suddenly, a figure appeared before you, casting a shadow over your face as you looked up. Strange's voice broke the silence,  "They need your help," he said, extending his hand towards you which you took gratefully and he helped you up.

Confusion filled your mind as you tried to comprehend Strange's words. "What do you mean?" you asked.

Strange's gaze met yours, his eyes filled with a sense of urgency. "We've been gone for five years," he explained. "And Thanos is back. We need to retrieve the stones before it's too late. Again."

Your gaze wandered around, "Where's everyone else?" you asked. Strange gestured behind you, and you turned, only to find the bodies of people beginning to reform. 

"They're coming back," He replied. "So, ready for one more big fight?" he asked.

You smiled in response, "The question is, is the fight ready for me?"  You quipped, a small smile forming on his face. Extending his hand, he opened a portal to a desolate and destroyed battlefield. The air was thick with darkness and dust, and in the center stood Steve,  staring back at you with awe. Behind him, an ocean of aliens awaited your arrival.

Without hesitation, you stepped through the portal, and one by one, the remaining heroes followed suit. As you landed on the battlefield, you glanced at Steve, a mutual understanding passing between you. Placing both hands at your sides, a brilliant glow emanated from your palms, enveloping you and the surrounding area in a mystical mist.

The sight caught the attention of the army assembled before you, their shouts filling the air. Portals began to open, revealing reinforcements from all corners of the universe. Steve's excitement was palpable as he shouted, "Avengers!" rallying everyone to their positions. With a swift motion, he summoned Thor's hammer into his hand, raising it high and proclaiming, "Assemble!"

A resounding cry echoed across the battlefield as every hero ran forward, facing the daunting task ahead. The primary goal was clear—to retrieve the stones from Thanos and prevent him from wreaking havoc once more. However, the battle proved to be more challenging than anticipated, with wave after wave of enemies obstructing your path. The fighting was relentless, and exhaustion began to take its toll.

As you fought your way through the chaos, a raspy voice screamed from behind you, threatening your brother's life. Reacting instinctively, you raised your hands, shrouding the alien dog creature in a mist and hurling it backward. Giant Scott stepped on it, crushing it underfoot. Rushing to your brother's side, relief flooded over you as he stood up, and you embraced each other tightly. 

"Hey, you good?" You said running towards him, "I got really scared for a second I thought you were gonna die" Pietro stared up at you before he stood up and engulfed you in a hug, 

"I thought you were dead" he said as you hugged him back, "now I know how you felt" he laughed as he pulled back, 

"Yeah, pretty sucky huh" you responded with a small smile, 

"So, wanna go beat it out of the prune?" You asked a small smile playing at your lips. 

 "Heck yea I do" he replied

The alien creature let out a piercing squeal as your mist enveloped it, causing its body to crumple and disintegrate into nothingness. With a flick of your hand, you tossed the remains aside as easily as discarding a piece of paper. Taking a moment to catch your breath, your gaze fell upon the familiar blueish Voldemort creature, its eerie eyes locking with yours.
