Peter's POV
(Ok wait, not me editing this chapter and this song randomly coming on as i start)
I sat restlessly in class, my foot tapping impatiently against the ground, my eyes constantly glancing at the clock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. The sound of the ticking grew louder, amplifying the building anticipation within me. I had something big planned for today, something that made my heart race with nervousness. Y/n and I had been dating for a while now, and I needed to talk to Ned about it. Each passing second felt like an eternity, the countdown intensifying.
As the seconds dwindled, the bell finally chimed, signaling the end of class. I swiftly grabbed my backpack, which hung on the back of my chair, and bolted out of the classroom door without sparing a glance for Flash, who called out my name from behind. Ignoring his voice, I sprinted toward the library, skillfully maneuvering through the bustling crowd of students. Pushing open the library door, I entered and spotted Ned sitting at a table near the back, engrossed in reading a new comic.
"Ned! Nednednedned!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with urgency, as I rushed over and took a seat in the chair beside him. He placed his comic on the table, ready to hear what had me so worked up.
"This better be good, dude. You interrupted me just as I was about to witness the defeat of this guy called the Hobgoblin," Ned said, showing me the comic's cover featuring an animated Spider-Man clinging to the side of a roof.
"No way, dude! That's awesome!" I exclaimed, sharing his excitement briefly. However, I quickly refocused on my purpose.
"Anyways, listen, I have this plan," I began, capturing Ned's attention. He nodded, encouraging me to continue.
"Okay, so tonight, I'm planning on taking Y/n out to a movie," I explained.
"Nice! A movie date! Which one are you going to see?" Ned inquired, genuinely curious.
"Uhh, I'm not sure yet," I admitted, mentally weighing my options.
"Ooh! You should go for a scary one!" Ned suggested eagerly.
"Yeah, maybe. We'll see. But anyways, after the movie, I'm planning to take her to our apartment complex and set up something special on the roof. You know that thing going around with the song 'Electric Love'?" I elaborated, hoping Ned would catch on.
"No way, dude!" Ned exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across his face.
"Yeah! I'm gonna try to maybe-" I was interrupted by a voice, and we turned to see MJ standing in front of us, holding a book.
"Hey, losers," MJ greeted with her usual dry tone. "What are you doing?"
"He's reviewing his plan," Ned replied, gesturing towards me.
"What plan?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Uhh, for homework. We're going to get together and study," I quickly improvised, trying to divert her attention.
MJ's brows furrowed suspiciously, and she casually took a seat next to me, crossing her arms. Her piercing gaze demanded the truth.
"I don't buy it," MJ stated bluntly. "Look, if it's about Y/n, then I need to know."
Ned couldn't contain his excitement and blurted out, "Peter's gonna kiss her!"
I shifted nervously in my seat, picking up a pencil and fiddling with it. MJ, leaning back with her feet on the table, cocked her head and crossed her arms.
