57. Too easy

The trio surveys the sky clan's area

Blue sky, a chill, soothing air, eagles flying around in the clouds

"Yami, I've been...I've been thinking about something" Alayna sounds worried

"What's wrong?" Yami asks

"I've just been thinking about...well, everything, planet-hopping, having a general goal, but not knowing the exact way to achieve the goal-nevermind, it's just stressing me out a bit" Alayna shakes her head

"Let it out, I'm here for you" Yami lets out a small smile

"It's just hard to explain, y'know?" Alayna asks

"I'll try my best to understand then" Yami grins

"...God you're just like the first time I met him" Alayna laughs a bit, staring at the pavement

"Don't try to change the subject, tell me what's wrong" Yami orders

"Alright, alright, for starters, I'm just worried about everyone roped into this, Flake, Metal, Kyron, Carry, Jason, Clara, Putty, Carry, I'm just kinda thinking about everyone, I don't want them getting killed, sh!t, I've been getting soft, I only used to worry about 4 people in this world, being with Sasuke and you just changed me, for better or worse" Alayna sits down in a therapy chair, staring at the sky

"I'm worried about them too-" Yami starts

"Yeah, I just don't know why Ultimas had to screw up our lives this bad, YOU GUYS JUST GOT BACK, TOO" Alayna shouts

"-But the more I watch them, the more I see what they can do, they're strong, of course, they're no gods, but neither am I, f#ck, I used to be a f#cking cat, thanks to...you know who, being with them just made me more...ballsy, I guess, these guys know how to handle themselves, I broke my back when we were trying to get the gods, but they somehow got me back to a safe place, then you fixed me up, they're fighters" Yami comforts her

"...How did they get you back?" Alayna asks

"Don't-...a question for another time, back to  your problems" Yami shakes her head

"Then there's this thought in the back of my head, thinking that even if we get all this help, we can't kill Ultimas, we'd just be delaying it, we don't even have a way to kill him yet, I've only got one idea, but I don't think it'll work, but then there's Elusi, that place is harder to find than a bug in a theme park, nobody knows if it even exists" Alayna starts breathing heavily

"There's something we haven't found out, I know there is, but I know we can find Elusi somehow...somehow" Yami explains

"I don't want to lose you again" Alayna covers her face

"You won't, I'm not gonna just flop on the ground like last time, d*mn, I felt sorry for myself, that won't be me this time" Yami shakes her head

"...Yeah...I get that now...I love you, okay? Every second I couldn't see you, I missed you" Alayna sighs

Yami smiles, nodding in agreement

"Does any of this seem too easy to you?" Flake asks

"Now that you mention it, I think it does, from Juul just agreeing easily, to that one chick, Selina too, it just seems way too easy" Kyron stares

Fifteen burps in agreement

"You get it, don't you, baby?" Flake rubs the side of Fifteen's head

Fifteen pants

Yami says nothing, staring at the ground, walking

"Yami, you okay?" Kyron asks

She says nothing

"Yami, hey, you still with us?" Flake asks

"Huh? What? Yeah" Yami nods

"Are you okay?" Flake asks

"I'm good" Yami continues walking

"You're quieter than usual" Kyron explains

"Okay" Yami shrugs

There's nobody guarding the entrance

"...Oh SH!T" Yami runs inside

Kyron and Flake follow her

They run past 13 robotic guards, all unconscious

"SH!T, SH!T, SH!T" Yami yells

"THIS ISN'T GOOD" Flake yells

Yami stops dead in her tracks, staring

"Motherf#cker" Alayna stares with her

Flake and Kyron look over Yami's shoulders

"And they all witness her dead body, how'd I do?" A man in a fluffy coat sits on Athena's throne

"WHY THE F#CK DID YOU KILL HER?' Yami shouts

"Orders, and a little birdy told me what you were coming to do, good luck finding Kalis and Locke, well...let me rephrase that, you won't stop finding their remains" The masked man laughs maliciously
